"I am not same... because they say I don't act like who it was.. or know anything about him... I know I came from another thing. I don't know what they think... but the one said that the little ones were the same but I don't think the little ones... knew or cared... They say they benefit creature... but they also take theirself away..." Luke, thankfully, has gotten better at speaking together in phrases. "... if they're like you in those respects, I would say the body is not inhabited by the same person as before." "That's what... I thought... but they think... otherwise..." He sighs.

Why would they lie... to themselves? Isn't it something they.. choose to do? Oh well." He looked down at himself. "Sometimes... I wonder... if he would have been my friend."

"Maybe..." she sighed, unsure what else to say. She hugged him. He hugged her back. "How are... you doing?" "I'm doing okay. How are you today, Luke?" she peered down at his real eyes.

He hugged her back. "How are... you doing?" "I'm doing okay. How are you today, Luke?" she peered down at his real eyes. The small disks in his eyes floated about happily. "Today, I am good. I saw a bird today... it made me happy."

On a distant planet in the outer rim of the galaxy, a small escape pod lays burning in a heap of rocks and rubble. The hatch is open and smoke billows out of it, but the former occupant has long since left. The planet was small and quiet. Wind whipped violently at everything, as if the atmosphere was just moments from being thrown into the oblivion. It was breathable, though. Cold, but breathable.
IRA stood a few yards away, watching the pod burn. She wasn't upset. It wasn't a two way trip. After watching this for a time, she turns around and walks back to where she was rummaging previously: a crashed space vehicle. She crawled inside to take a break from the wind. Her small frame huddled in a corner. How long as it been since she'd been truly awake? Only recently had she fully realized the weight of their trickery. She was displaced in her mind and displaced from her children. They'd come back someday but not soon. She frowned.
A part of her felt cold. Not literally, although she did feel that, but something in herself. As if a pert of her had been warmed for the first time and now knew what ice it had been sitting in. It irked her. She twitched. This was inconvenient. She didn't like dreams, especially not dreams that went on so long you could forget it was a dream.
She pulled a box off of the wall as far as the connected wires would allow. She knew this part. She wasn't sure how but she knew it was broken. Maybe... maybe...
She paused again. Paused to think, but why? It was wasting time. She should just do what she was going to do before the thinking stopped it. But no. The thinking kept going. She moved anyway. Maybe the part was replaceable. Was there a copy in the pod? Or maybe another ship had crashed.
The thinking was put on hold while she looked at the other pod. She caught her reflection in a sheet of metal, and it caused her a moment's pause. The thinking hit her again. She did look like a human, but she didn't hate that as she hated the humans. Why? She knew she was not human. Not at all. Not even a super one. Not a fake one. Not one at all she was herself this she knew. Those other ones tried to make her like them. Like THEM. Not like Ira. Not like HER.
She grabbed the piece she wanted. Maybe it would work.
She stared at it, and, maybe for the first time, she began to cry.
