Ivy and Flanngo began to follow. "Artemis?" Flanngo asked. "No....I think he just doesn't know what to think yet! He doesn't hate you, if that's what you're asking." --- "Huh..." He twisted a clump of his hair to check. It was still the usual brown. His feathers eased as he inched towards the ladder to peer over. "But he looked at me the way some humans do... dangerous ones." She faced forward, spotting Artemis at the top of the ladder. Her face flushed and she yelled at the figure who appeared behind him. "Tekanni, why can't you give a little warning when you do that!" Tekanni shrugged in response. "We just got here." Artemis looked between all of them. Flanngo lowered her voice so that only Chile could hear as they walked. "A look in a bad way? I don't think he means it like that...he doesn't even know you, how could he hate you?"

"That doesn't stop many people," Chile replied, her glance darting and voice low. "The humans here love Min because she's harmless and pretty. I'm neither of those things. Their blood quickens when I'm near- I can see-smell their fear. Michael and Min are scared too. They act nice but they can't hide the truth from me." Tekanni nudged Artemis. "You haven't met Aneirin yet- we should introduce you to her, she works with the lighting and special effects."

Sometimes?" Flanngo suggested.

Tekanni responded. "I love our little family too- it will be a splendid environment to bring my son into, once he's found." "Mm. Okay, that's fair. Thanks." Chile conceded. They walked to the lighting booth, and Tekanni knocked on the door before opening it lightly. Inside was dark, aside from the blinking lights from electronics. "Aneirin, may we come in? We've brought some new friends, and I would love to introduce them to you. May we turn on the lights?" "Hang on!" chimed a light feminine voice. "I need to find my glasses- oh, there they are. Ok, come in!" Tekanni turned on the light, revealing a young woman with vibrant red skin and lavender hair as she came to the door. Large tinted goggles covered her eyes, which looked to take up a generous portion of her face. She looked over her guests and offered a hand, her breath catching at the sight of Artemis' wings. "H-Hello, I am Aneirin! I, uh, live in the light booth. I mean I work in the light booth." "Aneirin, this is Artemis, Ivy, and Flanngo." Tekanni said cheerfully, grinning broadly and watching their guests for a reaction.

After, Ivy and Artemis greeted Aneirin. "Lovely to meet you!" Flanngo chirped. "Lighting, lighting....you're best at electricity?" She clapped her hands together and flashed another toothy grin. "Oh...! And your glasses! Beautiful! Look at the colours Artemis!" He gave Aneirin a small smile.

Tekanni patted Artemis' wings. Aneirin spoke quickly. "Oh, you mean my ability? It's not electricity. I can show you, if you'll turn off the lights. I can't do anything in the light. What can each of you do? Have you met Min yet? She'd love meeting another person with feathery wings."

Aneirin smiled and slid her goggles up, exposing her extra large eyes. Her skin was speckled with tiny golden dots that glowed slightly, and a number of strands in her hair subtly illuminated her form. She held her hands in front of her, and from them flew a bright bird of a colorful species that had never existed. The bird flew around the room, circling Aneirin's audience before attempting to perch on Artemis' shoulder.

There was no weight to the bird, and though it reached down to rub against Artemis' finger, it also had no substance. Only a vague sense of warmth accompanied the bright display. "It's an extension of myself," Aneirin explained. "I control and see through them, and I can pick any shape I want. I just picked a bird this time." She giggled as contact between Artemis and the bird was made, touching her face in the corresponding area. "I can feel that."

By now Flanngo had bounced over to the bird, leaning in to it and beaming.

Most of my senses do get split. Not my hearing though, and I think it's because they can't pick up on sound." "Show them how you can split the lights," urged Tekanni, a smile wide on her face as she watched the visitors interact. "I will," replied Aneirin. "But I wanna have fun this way first."

She nudged Art and Ivy both to make sure they were paying attention. "Have you ever done this at one of your shows?" She asked. "...would it be too much to make them look like stars?"
