I think that downtime made things worse. Now I have all kinds of things that come and go, especially my weapons in the BD. What a pain. At least the good thing is that your opponent also has his weapons missing, so I ended beating down the Tiki Tack man with my bare fists and my ability of icicle. Abilities were the only things working and bare fist is the default weapon if you have none. .... That is the funniest thing I can imagine! xD "Prepare to be utterly destroyed by my SWORD OF--" *poof* D: "HA! You'll face the wrath of my MIGHTY HAMMER--" *poof* :T "...Or hand-to-hand combat.... that's cool too." "You mean, you'll put down your rock and I'll put down my sword, and we'll try and kill each other like civilized people?" |

Wow, today was the saddest of Pet Days ever. Links to the All about Scorchios page and an old Neopedia entry, plus two colors that aren't even active in the Rainbow Pool, so we get two tiny images of them?

It is pretty sad, but I'd rather see the staff work on making sure the site actually works. I'm more concerned about there not being an NT this week, really...

I think it's more that they were desperate to throw something out there since they're much busier trying to fix up the site. I doubt that they think we're idiots. Still, I think having nothing would be better than something that's weak in this case, though. Yeah that's what I took it as too. While it's a bit.. painful to look at, it seemed it was just padding to make the super-sad Scorchio Day a tad bit less, well, sad. Poor Scorchios. D: |

Yeah I'd have to agree- it's not that they're trying to insult us, I think they are legitimately trying, they just don't know what they're doing. So they just throw together a bunch of scorchio themed things.

I'm going tell you guys a story. So, I heard this phrase to refer to our new Neopets caretakers, "Jumpstaff." Today, for fun, I looked up the pet "Jumpstart" (a sad Blue Bori), and then the pet "Jumpstaff," only to discover that the name was untaken. I mentioned this to some people I hang out with on the Neoboards, and went on to mention that Jumpstaff would be perfect as a Brown Gelert, just like the Friendly Brown Gelert Plushie ( items.jellyneo.net/index.php?go=item&showitem=56463 ). One of my friends decided this was a great idea, and went on to create Jumpstaff the Gelert. Not five minutes later, they took the pet down, leaving this message on the lookup: "Error: This Neopet name has been deemed inappropriate." ( www.neopets.com/petlookup.phtml?pet=jumpstaff ). The pet was certainly created, you can even see the birthday theme show up today, signifying that his birthday is today. But they were extremely fast in taking it down, and I'm kind of left wondering why. She sent a ticket in, she's hoping to get Jumpstaff the Gelert back. At the least, I'm hoping they'll tell her why they took him away. |

Then post a "Hey guys, sorry this pet day is so light, we've been so busy dealing with all this lag! Hope you can understand, and we'll try to make it up to you in the future!" Instead we get a "Nothing to see here folks. Oh hey btw, have you ever heard of the Scorchio?" Not a good start if we're expecting some sort of honest transparency with the new team. |
