Odd they're holding it just now, it was meant for this week's issue. Oh well, it'll just be a few weeks out of date, nothing terrible. Unless they plan on holding it until next Symol Day... WOOT!  |

Anyone knows if this is supposed to be the Halloween issue?
I am assuming it is and I realise now that I included a 'Happy Halloween' message of sorts in the second article, meant to be in the next week xD Might need to send a NM for that to be removed then.

Symol Day has passed but woot! NOTE TO ALL AUTHORS: Unless you're able to submit it really early, do not put any "time sensitive" statements into your article. For example, my article mentions Symol Day is coming up when it has passed. |

Don't quote me on this, because it's been years since I submitted anything to the NT, but that seems strange. The only reason I can think for that happening, was if your entry was accepted but saved for a special issue (if it was intended for a holiday or collab issue, for example). But I don't know if there's any of those upcoming, seeing as Halloween just happened. If I were you, I'd neomail nt_editor and ask about it. It might have been a mistake. Best of luck! |

It's also been a while since I submitted, so I'm not 100% sure if this is the norm now, but at least you're not alone? |

So the short story that I impulsively decided to write last night because I was procrastinating writing an essay, that I probably wrote and submitted in less than three hours, that I barely edited if I even did any editing, and that I thought might have been too dark for Neo was accepted. Sweet. I'm totally going to regret submitting this when the issue is published. (I at least like the concept I nailed down.) Also: With this short story, I have now been in each of the NT categories at least once. \o/ *cue the applause* |
