I'm loving Peridot more and more, too. She's adorable when she's with Steven. She's also a good example of how to make a villain evolve into a friend/ally in a clever manner.
Garnet is still the sweetest, though. That "I Iove you" moment made my heart melt! *__*

Sooo it looks like the show went on hiatus, something I wasn't expecting at all. Looks like CN's shows tend to do that in winter, but I just didn't know. Oh. What a bummer. When I knew it, I reacted like this: And then like this: And then like this: And, know what? Saramar doesn't approve. |

Yeah, most shows go on hiatus around the end of the year.
I will be re-watching old episodes to ease the SU withdrawl. :D

I guess my issue is that Steven Universe just got back from hiatus. We got, what, four new episodes before going on hiatus again? Still, Cartoon Network could be treating it much worse. We could have a year in between seasons, numerous abrupt schedule changes, next to no advertising, several episodes airing at once so the network can get rid of it faster, budget cuts so severe that the creators are forced to reuse old animation for a clip show so they won't have to lay off large swaths of their staff, and finally yanked off the air and put online-only with no warning and no announcement. Yes, I am still angry at Nickelodeon, why do you ask?  |

Yes, I am still angry at Nickelodeon, why do you ask? Actually 6 episodes, and if you treat it like a normal show that sort of equals to 3 >_> The time before was 10 (5). Before that 4 (2), then like 6 or something... Basically SU only gets released in small batches. Sometimes it seems more if we're lucky to get a week long of new episodes. And we still have 28 known episodes coming up in 2016. I think SU is going on break to give room for Adventure Time, since it starts up again in November (most of which is just a miniseries about Marceline). Not that they haven't aired at the same time before in the past, but I think they want to hype the new stuff a little. What I hate most is how all these CN shows are now just 15 minutes long each. I like sitting down to watch a full half hour of shows, not something new and a rerun. But almost all of the new CN stuff is done this way. The plus side is they do release them faster then if they did full half hour runs. Since like I said earlier you take those 6 episodes and turn them into 3, it makes the wait a lot longer for new stuff XD |

Blue Diamond's pearl was hawt. Dat spoiler though. Cartoon Network showed the wrong preview clip and dropped elite spoilarz on everyone on an episode that isn't even happening during this Steven Bomb. It's both exciting and disappointing. :'D Re: that spoiler Yay, Lapis! but...

Haven't seen the latest episode yet (I'm watching them through Google Play and Google releases the episodes in pairs, so I have to wait until either late tonight/tomorrow to watch yesterday's and tonight's...) but as I understand it through what I've been spoiled, Peridot figured out a way to contact Yellow Diamond, so who's to say that Jasper's not trying to do the same? After all, she was the one that first name dropped Yellow Diamond while saying that somebody needs to let her know about Steven's existence. And even if Jasper doesn't get in touch with Yellow Diamond, there's still the fact that she probably has a very big grudge against the Crystal Gems.
So yeah, bad situation all around, really. Lapis still fused with Jasper = Both gems possibly losing themselves to Malachite and wreaking havoc on Earth and/or Crystal Gems. Lapis defused from Jasper with the latter MIA = Jasper probably planning revenge in some fashion and ruining everyone's day. |

Imma spill out what I think of the Stevenbomb so far. (Mostly the fourth episode, though, since that is my favorite.) PERIDOT IS A CRYSTAL GEM!!!1! I'm sorry, but that redemption has come. I wasn't too on board with Peridot getting a redemption at first, but ever since Catch and Release, I kinda wanted her to be one and I was hoping for it more and more with every episode. And her standing up to Yellow Diamond, wow. I knew at that very moment, she redeemed herself. (Now we just need Lapis Lazuli... Jasper can just get bubbled for all I care.) The entire Stevenbomb is great. We learn a lot about Garnet and Peridot. Not to mention the reveal of Yellow Diamond. Sheesh, she's big and sort of threatening. O.o I can't be the only one loving Peridot right now, right? |

Oh, I don't think that Yellow Diamond gives much of a hoot about Jasper, per say. What I more or less meant is that -considering how petty she was shown to be in regards to Earth- she would be interested to know that the Crystal Gems are still around, in addition to Steven's existence as a human-gem hybrid - the latter component coming from Rose Quartz, someone I'm sure she likely holds some manner of a grudge towards. Of course, the Cluster being allowed to hatch would take care of all that. But if the Crystal Gems succeed in stopping it, being aware of their presence would give Yellow Diamond an even bigger incentive to take direct action. At least that's how I see it.

But despite the above discussion about her with Killix, by this point (A whopping two days after Message Received aired!) I've seen far too many ridiculous fanarts ( Like this one) and memes to take Yellow Diamond too seriously anymore. XD |

Peridot kinda took Jasper under the bus with her when she told that lie about what happened to the ship. XD If they're not labelled traitors yet, they're at least not in any position to contact homeworld. The communicator was detonated anyway.
I'm not sure how the unfusing of Malachite will go, but I suspect both parties will come out of it totally weakened and exhausted. The only thing we know now from that spoiler preview is that Lapis is ok. But what about Jasper? Does she escape? Does she get poofed? Destroyed? Who knows... but she's in just as much danger as everyone else if YD decides to go raegface at the planet Earth. XD
YD doesn't even need to know about the Crystal Gems being on Earth, she said herself that she just simply wanted it destroyed. Peridot made her angry already. That might be enough for her to decide "Earth is now our target practise dummy".
So yah. I am concerned for Jasper until further notice. :D

Man I’m too obsessed with this show. Someone help me. I watched the Stevenbomb and it was great.
Not only it showed us how Ruby and Sapphire met, which was a personal dream of mine (and Cotton Candy Garnet, who is extremely cute as well as a clever concept), but it also gave us a few episodes with Peridot being awesome (and turning into a Crystal Gem!) I love how Peridot and Garnet are finally starting to bond together. Peridot is definitely becoming one of my favourite characters. She’s hilarious and adorable, and I love her character development.
Also, Diamonds! I still think Yellow Diamond is certainly someone who should be feared. Yes, in spite of the ridiculous memes. And the fact that… well, you know, she’s a clod XD.
Annnd nope, I haven’t watched that preview clip. Everything I know is it includes Lapis. Of course that’s a big spoiler as it is.
*Sigh* Well… I want more episodes. GIVE ME MORE EPISODES. |
