I actually got done a thing I said I would! =D Finished the 25 Expressions Challenge with at least one character \o/ I probably won't be doing a full set for other characters anytime soon, but there are a couple other expressions like "drunk" that I'd want to do multiple characters with >w> The template says this will help learn consistency, although I didn't practice that specifically. The consistency here is about my normal level, so I dunno if it's good or if there are stricter standards for such a thing. Either way, seeing as I've been drawing Twillie for maybe five years now, if I'm not consistent now, uhhh... x3

Is this truly an April Fool's joke... Or just a silly idea.

It would never work. Their art styles are just too different. Twillie and Jonathan were literally made for each other!

I'd say that Jonathon would soon come crawling back to her, but he'd likely not survive the night after breaking Twillie's heart. Hard to escape from Zathandria after you've done something like that.

Here's another spring-themed piece, before I forget amidst the sea of busy-ness! I wanted to play around both with color and a character whose design constantly eludes me, so I took a premade palette from the internet and maybe got closer to figuring this person out?

Oh shoot, I'm trying to remember, did I ever share this on this thread? I remember sharing it individually on other venues at least, but that makes it muddy for me to remember who has or hasn't seen something xD I remember I started this last October, but didn't get ot finish it until January this year I believe. Only thing left that I might try is putting a red mirror reflection on Liz' face, to balance out the red trifecta.

Was looking through my files, and I noticed that I have a number of random sketches that I've seen dozens of times, but have yet to really see the light of day. First of all, though, thought I'd repost my part of the magical girl exchange where I made Celestial 's Tabitha Kingsley even more fabulous: And then my fan art for June Scarlet 's piece for me, because it was just too perfect: Now for my sketch dump! Lately, I've been wanting to get more animation experience, so I finally sat down with a Clip Studio Paint animation tutorial and made this little gif: Some parts I like the turnout, like the ace, others like the hair and shoulders I should practice more on how they move x3 I then tried a second animation by making a glow effect, but that didn't turn out as well. Here's the still I used for each frame, though: And if you think my Blossoms art ends there, you'd be sorely mistaken! It's basically all I've been drawing as of late lol, my mind's been stuck on the series while I've been trying to hash out the next couple scripts. One idea that came during this was the thought of Jonathon as a teenager. He likes to dress a bit goth now with the dark clothes and eyeliner, but as a teenager, the emo phase hit him ten times as hard. Being something I wanted to see, I tried my hand at designing this. Although it's something I want to push even more to make the outfit extreme, this is what I came up with so far: And with it, a "what if" scenario with teen!Jon and his biological parents because I'm sadistic: But of course, this cannot actually be due to the fire that took his family, so this is what we got instead (and my sadist points continue to increase): For some more normal Blossoms art, here are some profile images I made for my website. All of my comics are posted over there, so along with them, I created a character page like you'd see on a webcomic's site:

A couple Neo arts! First, some Faeries in a bit of a different style than what I usually draw, aka me trying to be extra fancy: A while back, when the idea of my characters on vacation popped into my mind, I also got a couple mental images. One's a comic I hope I can sketch out soon, but first I made this mental image as sort of "concept art" of them in a new environment: And a moment for the background that got mostly obscured rip And since it's almost July, I finally scratched out one of the pride pieces I've been trying to make this whole month:

Been sketching on and off and working on random art collaborations, so here's a random art dump~ I posted these on the NeoCreation thread, but I'll put them here as well. One of the prompts for Neopets' Twitter creation contest was "design your own faerie," so I spent the whole week designing four of them. The Seasonal Faeries: There's been a couple zines outside of the NTWF one I've been working on as well, both Neo related. This piece was for an open-submission LGBT+ Neopets zine: I wish I could've better specified their orientations to include demi, as right now it kinda looks like both are ace/aro, but as is I'm alright with the piece. I had to power through it to make the deadline, and it took a lot of fighting against a lack of inspiration or ideas, so at the very least I'm glad I was able to figure out a composition lol The other Neo zine piece isn't due until October, but I can share my wip at least: The zine is themed around all the Neo worlds, with each artist assigned to a different land. For me, I was set up with the Ice Caves. Once it's done, the piece will be Kari tending to her negg gardens (hence why her hands are out, she'll be holding a stalk hanging from the wall) within the caves. It took some time figuring out how to showcase the land with some personality, seeing as its color scheme is just one color, but I'm happy with this composition. With the neggs, I can get some splashes of color in there, and I wanted to contrast that with the darker, more mysterious atmosphere of the deep caves. It was an extra bonus remembering that the caves have glowy crystals >w> And then something non-Neo related, a friend asked me to draw some Camicazi from the HTTYD books, so I did so: And that's all I got, I think \o/

I swear I have art to show, but there's also a little story to it for posterity's sake x3 A couple weeks ago I reentered the Beauty Contest, not having done so since February of last year. Back then, I'd entered my RG Ruki and gotten first overall, so I figured it'd be a good time to go out with a bang and "retire" from the BC (not that I was ever a real regular, but I just wanted an excuse not to enter again xD (the bc takes too much of my time and energy)). However, a couple weeks ago, Rabbit had a theme week going on, so I figured why not participate in that to try and fulfill the one BC goal I never had before: get gold in Aisha. I've entered Zathandria three times before this, each time getting silver or less. A lot of it's due to high competition in Aisha, but also there were frankly just better artists than me that entered at the time. I figured that maybe this time, now with improved skills, I'd have a better chance. When the contest started, a little luck was also on my side, as it was a quiet week for Aisha with only four entries overall and one other actively advertising. By midweek I basically figured I was getting the gold, and I started wondering if first overall would be a possibility. I didn't put as much stock in that happening, but lo and behold, Zathandria got the overall win that week \o/ I set out to get one gold for her, and ended up with two. Now I can officially go out with a bang. But yeah, here's the piece that took so much explaining to lead up to x3 (with all that being said, though, there are a couple adjustments I still want to make with it- namely, there's some errors with the hands/knuckles that hopefully can be easy fixes >w>)

Another year, another summary of art! Some of the dates I flubbed just a liiiitle bit, since this year was one of some very very busy months, and some dead ones in terms of art lol. This year, I got to participate in a number of community art projects for a few different fandoms, which is really neat as last year I couldn't even imagine getting into a zine. I'm interested to see if I keep this momentum going into the coming year, as I'm not a big fandom person in general. Slowly, slowly getting more involved in that kind of stuff xD I also got more productive with my comics, I feel! I got Games Night out this year, and I've got the scripts for the next two arcs written and one almost completely sketched out. On top of that, I've also rewritten a number of my earliest comics and added in new ones to better introduce the characters and story, with five already either completely done or fully sketched out. Not sure how many of those I'll end up making, but I thought they'd be good to make for more consistent storytelling now that I have a better grasp on the story and comic making in general. I'm really hopeful all that I can accomplish with my comics this coming year!

There's a trend going around on social media right now called #toonme, wherein artists take a picture/selfie of themself and partially draw over it, creating a toon version of themself on top of their real face. I decided to give it a try after discovering the tag from a friend's own Toon Me portrait: I took a bunch of actually decent selfies for this, but in the end decided to go with this pic xP

I updated ref pics for my comic characters! Will probably make more later (I've been meaning to make updated drawings of all my characters, comic or not).
