I know it's a little late, but congrats on getting first overall in the BC!! Vestani looks gorgeous, and I really, really love the way the teal green compliments the magenta!

A little bit late, but for Valentine's Day, I went ahead and drew all these cute people \o/ Twillie and Jonathon Suzy and Caden For those who may not know, which is probably most people, these two are the parents of the protag for my wip Rainbow comic :3 They originally were just bit characters, but then they insisted on being cute, and well, you know what they say about brooms... >.> Liz and Audo

So I just now decided to start a Neo blog over on Tumblr, and for my header I traced an old Blossoms group shot with better quality lines, and overall I just cleaned up the picture. And I know that I gave myself more time on this now than I did with the original, as back then it was just one panel among many many others that I was pressed to finish asap, but still. Just wow at the difference between then and now.

Didn't get to post this earlier, but here's full size current profile for the Spirit Weeks Villain theme! Credit to Thorn for design and character Nyx Nightshadow!

I mentioned this in my diary thread already, but long story short, I got some art pieces accepted into the annual student show at my school! Both of them are school assignments made either this year or last, but I don't know if I've shown either on here yet. Here they are: A bone And Jupiter! (no real theme between the two, they were just what I considered my strongest pieces at the time of submitting) Here's also the most current piece from my drawing class. The assignment was to form a sentence from two lists of phrases, and from that, create a drawing representing it. Mine was "Daughter of Space."

I think you did a fantastic job on them; they actually sort of remind of Bratz (remember those LOL!), but you know... more realistic proportions and a heck of a lot more interesting. XD

Lol, dunno if you read my post about them in Forum Events, but this song of theirs was actually featured in Bratz the Movie, so that's funny that that connection is there xD

It's been a while, so looks like I'm due for an art dump \o/ First, some Naelus pics: Figuring out a species design took quite a bit, so I ended up with a lot of concept sketching x3 It took a while until I finally figured out the species design x3 Just starting out, trying out different deer and dog shapes... How do make all these parts work together? Mkay let's just worry about the head shape for now... Ahh, now we're getting somewhere! And thus, I finally made my kitsune, Kasai and Seishin! Kasai, the fire kitsune His coloring was based off of the typical red fox, and both were also inspired by the deer in Nara Park. Seishin, the spirit kitsune Sei meanwhile is based off of the silver fox. I never quite got his coloring to have the same layered look, though, so the resemblance isn't as obvious. Profile pics, with and without backgrounds When you gotta get somewhere in a time crunch I wonder what's got Sei so fired up =o And then here's a pic I never ended up using, Kasai meditating at Overlook Bluff. And keeping with NTWF rp's, thanks to a drawing prompt I reblogged on Tumblr, I got to make some fun rp character pics! The idea was that people could request a character and scenario/outfit for them that they could pick from an extensive list, and these are the prompts I got: Liz Bishop in an outfit they'd never wear, requested by Gelquie She'd probably last thirty minutes top as a nun. Is she even recognizable here?? Liz Bishop in cosplay, requested by Ginz ❤ I had to think for a bit on what she'd cosplay as, but I finally settled on the pokemon Gothitelle \o/ The Queen as (actual) royalty, requested by Lizica I feel like I could keep going with this picture, but for now this is what I've got x3 The outfit is based partially off of this one from the Born This Way music video: Lastly, some Neopets art for my Alien Aisha, Deuteros! I've been participating in a user-led art contest where each round your pet has to "model" an outfit of your creation based on a prompt, so here's what I've come up so far! (no idea how much longer I'll last before I most likely get eliminated, wish me luck with this upcoming round x3) Round 1: Party (New Year's) Outfit I don't remember if I already showed this one here before, but for the sake of organization, I'll just include it with the rest regardless x3 Round 2: Redesign a Neopian Book Cover Round 3: Create an Ad to Revitalize a Daily Round 4: Outfit Inspired by Neopian Plantlife

I'm still somehow in that Neopets fashion contest, so have a few more entries from the past rounds! (including one that I finished just last night, so we'll see if it's my last or not >>) Street clothes inspired by a royal's garb! (In my case, King Roo) Advertisement for a Neopian shop! Your model dressed as a Dungeons and Dragons character class! Lucky I got sorcerer, because that means no swords or armor, and allll the shiny magic nonsense \o/ And this latest round's, a blending of two unlike lands' aesthetics! Again, fate was with me when I got Terror Mountain =D (and Moltara (again))

So, as I can only fit in one art class per semester, the token drawing class this fall is figure drawing! We haven't had models quite yet, but there have still been plenty of studies, some of which I can share! A full figure study, although this one is less complete than others of mine. Perhaps someday I'll give it some better shading x3 A face study of artist Louise Bourgeouis, also with some loose shading. Dunno if I've actually practiced with an older face before, so the challenge was welcome! And then some large scale hand studies from yesterday, which were done on large 18x24 paper (alongside the drawings before these)

Those hands... look good! I mean hands are the Worst especially when not all of them are visible (ie the pointing hand) and like... I don't know, I like all the visible proportion marks because it's Effort and it demonstrates that you're willing to put hands where they belong. On the page. Depicted visually.
... well that fizzled out. Louise looks good too!

Hands are actually a lot of fun for me (perhaps they've just brainwashed me after all the humans/humanoids I've had to draw now), but yeahh, definitely tricky x3 Just, too many tiny moving parts and pieces that need to line up and have the same length or thickness or size, and then yeah Wat Do when parts of it are obscured or intertwined with each other. Speaking of, though, that pointing hand definitely took the most effort, hence why it has so many more visible guide lines x3 At some points, I think I just kinda scribbled around until it looked good xD Looking back at the construction lines though can be cool to see that process indeed!

My Inktober plans aren't going over so well right now, but I've still been keeping busy with a bunch of other non-ink sketches. There are a few figure drawing assignments I've been meaning to post, so hopefully those'll be coming soon, but in the meantime, I've got a couple of Wrighton things! \o/ The inspiration for this one came rather quickly and without warning, so it was one of those pieces that just overrided any other plans for that day. Shinko And this one I just got done tonight, based off of a super fitting prompt Birdy pointed out to me! (plus a bonus smiling Mary) The bottom left is supposed to be them sitting by a campfire with presumably much of the other crew, which just leads into a whole other mental image in itself of the RETON crew toasting marshmallows, sharing stories, and singing campfire songs altogether one late autumn night \o/
