I met Giada De Laurentiis. She is every bit the wonderfully nice person she seems to be on TV. We actually talked a little. <3 This is awesome. =D I always thought Giada seemed really sweet, too. |

The six-year-old I babysat this evening drew a picture of a character from one of his kids' books and put my name on it and said it was for me, so I spent an hour and a half drawing him a picture of his favorite Transformer while he was asleep. Art trade! =D

About a month ago I dropped my PinSentry (a little gadget that allows me to access online banking) on the floor and it stopped working. Nothing could fix it so I sighed deeply and dismissed it as broken forever.
Today, I needed to check my bank balance but did not want to go outside to a cash machine. Wanting to see what would happen, I took the PinSentry and dropped it on the floor again.
It started working again. I don't know what happened but yay.

(Let's counteract that mini rant. I've been posting too much in there lately.)
In the beginning of the semester of my Mystical Texts class I didn't think I'd be able to contribute much. I didn't have the faculties of my colleagues. But not only have I found favor with the professor through my attentiveness and questions, as of Tuesday I am his go-to student for biblical recitations.
I may have mentioned this before but it's even more obvious now, especially when he said, and I quote, "Cassandra, help me out."
So I did.
....
This leads me to think I just might be influencing people in ways I haven't yet realized.

I've really been abusing the mini-rants board this week >.>
NaNo's going pretty well, wordcount-wise, and I quite like the bit I wrote today.
I completed my Nocturne Dragon 'collection' on DragCave (well, technically I don't have a frozen male hatchling, but the sprite art's the same as the female hatchie I already have). What's that? It sounds like you said "A collection of pixel dragons doesn't seem like something to celebrate", but I can't quite hear you over the sound of my scaly babies gathering behind you.

Such a girly squee but I've had just the most tiring and terrible week but this new eyeshadow palette my dad bought me as a gift is so nice and makes me so happy, like inordinately happy, it was out of stock everywhere but we tracked one down and I know it's just eyeshadow but I love it and have been playing with it and staring at it basically for the past 20 minutes and ahhh it's made me so happy. ;-;
