I could NOT have asked for a better day off. I've been dying to just relax with some movies in bed after working all week, and it's pouring rain today-- not so much that we're in any danger of tornados or flooding, but it's really coming down. It's like nature dimmed down the lights and is just like. "ok kids. naptime. shhhh here is some light rumbly thunder because i love you."
i can't decide whether to sleep or watch movies i'll probably do both <3 <3

I was awarded Volunteer of the Year at the museum! No one even hinted I would be getting an award at tonight's meeting, I thought I was just there to work. XD

Sometimes it feels nice to be proactive/productive and not procrastinate on work till midnight. >__>; Got all my work for today done and now I have the rest of the night to just relax. =D

I was so panicked about being capable of succeeding in my math class this term that when the teacher described the highly supportive nature of the class structure I nearly started crying with relief. Also, just finished doing the notes for the first section. They're going to be so useful for studying for the quizzes and tests. <3

CALLED IT!!! I KNEW IT!!! THAT'LL TEACH YOU TO CALL JAVIER CAMARENA BETTER THAN JDF!!!
So, of the five solo encores at the Met in the last seventy or so years, one was Pavarotti (can't complain there), one was Camarena, and THREE were JUAN DIEGO FLOREZ, THE OBJECTIVELY BEST TENOR EVER!!!!!!! (He, during the intermission of this performance, made a video thanking his 100,000+ Facebook followers. Of which I am of course one. That's how awesome he is.)
(Would've been nice to actually be there, but given how excited I am now, I'd've probably ended up destroying the opera house or something.)
So excited for the broadcast Saturday! And for La Donna Del Lago next year! Yes, I am psyched a year in advance just for the chance to hear this guy sing another role, one for which there is not yet a quality recording I'm aware of.
