I think I'm getting stuck in that "really need inspiration" phase. I'm like 1,200 words behind and I don't feel like writing. <_> What dooo

You know, I always feel bad when NaNo sends me emails about how much they need donations, because I always want to help them out, but I barely have any money of my own. XD; Considering a sizable portion of NaNoers are still in school, I'm probably not the only one, too. I'm kind of tempted to chip in a bit, though...

With me, it's a bit the other way round. I tend to get slightly annoyed upon receiving the umpteenth e-mail/broadcast asking me to donate, when I have already donated. Granted, I only donated 10 Dollars, but since I am currently trying to save up to discharge the debts I have with my mother because of my new car as quickly as possible, I wouldn't have felt comfortable with more. But really, donating to NaNo to me came before buying things for myself like NC for stockings or other Christmassy things at Neopets. So... I understand that they need the donations, but could they perhaps phrase it in a way so as to thank those who already donated at the same time?

Oy vey...
I've got about 40k. My plot is completely finished, and the only thing I could really add is random rants at the beginnings of chapters. What should I do? Should I just call it a month? Should I instead start on something else with more steam and just count that in my November word count? You see, I've gotten to the point where even writing the fun stuff is fatigue. Frankly, I'd rather be writing the music which I've been cutting out of my schedule to write the novel.
I'm not going to touch it until I get a response. Until then, here comes an oboe sonata!

A quick overview of adding stuff to your novel:
Author's note: Thanking all people who inspired and supported you, along with your feelings during NaNo. It gives you usually about 800 words.
Short story in the novel: Have a character who likes to read? Write a short story or fanfiction and 'quote' it in your novel by means of having your character read it. Usually gives you about 1500 words.
The Desaster: Be it a Blizzard, a Tsunami, a Hurrican, an Earthquake, anything might work. Tends to disrupt life in whole regions, but since you are only writing about a small number of people is perhaps not as grand as it sounds. Gives you about 3000-4000 words.
The overlooked Subplot: Check your novel for the supporting characters. One of them is bound to come with a detail which will be worth writing about and will involve your protagonist somehow. Pregnant cousins, rebellious teenage siblings, the neighour who's dog ran away and the protagonist helps in the search... Is worth about 5000 words.
Upgrade the overlooked subplot: By having other supporting characters jump the wagon, since no man is an island and no supporting character only interacts with only the protagonist. Addition 3000-6000 words.
Funny Outtakes: Whenever we stumble over cute typos, we could usually write a funny scene about this, though it's not relevant for the plot. Write it now... what works for movies should work for novels as well. 1000-2000 words per outtake are possible.

Well, back in Script Frenzy, after I ran out of comics to write, I filled in the last seven pages with filler comics... mostly of me asking the characters about plot things I didn't address in the comics proper. XD So maybe you could go my route and do some random filler epilogues? Or whatever you want, really.

And then there is of course a classic: The wise guy from the kitchen/The kitchen oracle This could be a riddle hidden in the soup, a knowlegable waiter or whatever. Usually you can get 2000 words out of the appearance of such wise guy from the kitchen. In my first NaNo in 2009 my story was finished at 35,000 words... originally... so I added the pregnant cousin, a blizzard and no less than three wise guys from the kitchen along with an author's note and made it triumphantly to 50,000 words.
