The Official Chat for discussing really whatever you want about NaNo. I am sure I should have some more official-y description, but this really seems self-explanatory.
Anyway! I am so excited for NaNoWriMo this year guys. XD I've been looking forward to October for months just so I can see everyone's story ideas and chat about NaNo goodness. And also because I have a plot I love already.

I'm excited to try and fix up my very old story. <3 It's about these people who get webbed feet and fin-like arms when they go outside. It runs on nonsensoleum, but it was a fun write the first time and it should be a fun write this time.

I, as usual, have NO CLUE WHAT I'M DOING FOR NANO. 8D;
I'm considering just writing multiple things, and just make some headway some of them/start them/get some stories written/etc. xD;
But I have a month, so we shall see. =D
Edit: I wanna make my thread now, but. xD; *flail* I dunno. 8D;

DO IT BIRDYYY~ I want to write something with zombies. >_>; Surprising, eh? No idea what to do for the plot, though I have a basic idea. Still working out the details, but I'm thinking that the MC gets bitten and infected, but doesn't turn into a zombie altogether...like, some of his body functions shut down, and his appearance is different, but he's not exactly "MAH MOUTH IS FALLING OFF, GIMME YO BRAINS". I just don't know how to work that out without coming off as more stupid than it already is. XDD I'm not sure if I'm doing NaNo, however. I get to 10k words and then just shut down. XD Oh well, I can make an attempt to, I guess. --- What's your plot, Zylaa? (unless you'd rather not say, of course ^^

Sheik - I don't think that idea is stupid. owo I think it's quite interesting. =D
And at least you get to 10K. XD; I've never gotten more than just a few thousand. 8D;

I'll post up the plot in its own thread soon enough. Probably tomorrow. I think I'm too tired to do it justice right now. XD
Also, Shiek and other people who have joined since last year, traditionally everyone tends to make their own personal NaNo thread (though it's of course optional). You can post your own plot ideas, character descriptions, backstories, excerpts, progress reports, absolutely anything you want. ^_^

Whoasnap, NaNo time again? Time flies. XD;
Anyway, I've decided not to continue that ongoing story/series/whatever the heck it is I've been doing for the past two years, because well... I've been doing it for the past two years. But so far the only other idea I've had is to continue the old Indera series from the NT that I keep meaning to finish and never get around to, mostly because I know I'll probably never do it otherwise. :B

I'm not sure if I'll have time to do NaNo this year, nor do I have any clear-cut ideas of what I could do. However, there are quite a few story ideas that I want to work on. Way too many, actually. So there's a chance I may use NaNo as an opportunity to work on them. I may end up not working on any one thing in particular; I could just be working on a number of things. I actually have too many ideas right now. That's unusual.
EDIT: Actually... There is this one thing that I may end up focusing on. It's something that keeps bouncing around in my mind over and over again, even though I don't think it's the best idea I've ever had. If I participate in NaNo this year with this idea, it'll be to get the idea on paper and out of my head, at least. xD

Don't know if I'm doing real NaNo this year or cheating by doing a bunch of short stories...I have a lot of unfinished drafts lying around already. But...I do have a novel I've wanted to write for a long time, and this may be it's chance. There's still time to decide, I guess...
EDIT: Yeah, decision made, I'm doing the new project even though I don't need another unfinished draft. Herp derp. Time to get to work on the last plot issues...

I am so in! 8D Now that i've started yearly NaNo, i'm not sure that I could ever give it up for the foreseeable future. XD
I usually don't start planning my NaNo until October (i've been dying to start planning away at a new story! XD) so I don't have any remnant of an idea yet. But now is the time to start! =D So my thread will probably appear in a couple of days.
So excited! I look forward to hearing all of your stories, and casually stalking the threads! 8D

...I keep doing this thing every year where I think that I won't do NaNo because I don't have time, and then at the last minute I decide to try anyway, and then I abandon it after a few days. xD;
It's soooooo tempting, though. I really need motivation to write more. >_> Maybe I'll use it as motivation to actually write some of the short story ideas I've had? xD
Hm. I'll think about this.

Whoa, it's almost that time again? I definitely can't do 50k over the span of a month, but what I can do is at least try to get the ideas that I had swimming around in my head down on a piece of paper (or in this case, the computer screen). Course, with work, my month's going to be limited, but I can definitely try my best.

I'm not sure whether I'm going to do a real NaNo or not this year. Mostly because I've already started on a novel in September, which is also for a novel-writing class I'm taking, and... let's just say that the due dates for the project make doing NaNo very impractical, and I don't want to put all my writing eggs in that basket, so to speak. But! I definitely still want to write alongside all you intrepid NaNoers, so I'm going to do my best to write at NaNo speeds in November as much as I can. Which won't be all the time, since I will also have to be revising this for the class, but... NaNo is way too much fun to miss out on entirely.

Oh gosh I've been waiting for this all year. Is it sad that I look forward to November more than Christmas? Probably. Anyway.
I'm currently being haunted by the ghosts of Nano past, in other words all my previous attempts where I got to 10k and then fell down a mine shaft (figuratively of course). One story (actually started as two) is one that would be easy to write but is basically a train wreck and I cringe when I think of it. The second one is impossibly ridiculous and requires massive amounts of thinking and is naturally the fun one I have ideas for and am dying to write. And on the third hand (I have three hands don't judge me) I feel like I should write something entirely new but I have exactly zero inspiration for things that aren't the aforementioned failures.
And I have a month to figure it out. Oh boy.
I look forward to everyone else's awesomeness.

Mmmk. This entire year I've been satisfied with "nope, not doing it". Then I read a couple threads and an idea pops in and oh hey guess who wants to write.
Let's see if this motivation lasts the month? By november 1st last year I didn't really want to write since the initial excitement was gone XD but we'll see.
Right now i'm plotting some of the plot/character names/scene etc. I wonder how this will go =D Probably will get a thread up sometime tonight.
