Definitely one of the announcements would be the last DLC fighter for Smash Ultimate I actually think it's altogether possible that there might not be any Smash news tomorrow. All depends on what Sakurai meant when he said that the next fighter won't revealed for "a while." (That is, "tomorrow-awhile" or "The Game Awards-awhile")
Nintendo have really been hyping up Metroid Dread, so I'd expect that to have some presence. Mario Party Superstars, Shin Megami Tensei V, and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl are also going to be released in the next couple months, and even if they don't get dedicated segments they might at least get a mention in a "Hey remember that this is coming out soon" sort of way. It might be too much to ask for another Breath of the Wild 2 trailer and the reveal of its subtitle (Which is apparently a plot spoiler that they didn't want to reveal during E3) but let me dream, alright.

I have yet to see the full presentation as I'm on break from work, but I've read some highlights Well, I was sort of right that there would be an announcement for the DLC fighter. Sakurai is holding his cards close and will reveal the final fighter on Oct 5. Nothing on BD/SP, but SMT V and Mario Party Superstars were mentioned. Also, Bayonetta 3 is coming to the Switch in 2022

I am so delighted to see the N64 wireless controller for the Switch. Now the kids of today can destroy their thumbs on the most painful Nintendo controller in history! <3
(Also, the Sega Genesis wireless controller for a Nintendo console is hilarious.)

I've been playing Fire Emblem: Three Houses, lately. I have wanted to for a long time but only recently got a switch. I had been warned, and yet: I just passed the timeskip, and everything is pain!!! I knew there was a war in the second half, but not why, so that really threw me. As did characters dying offscreen in the timeskip!
I'm playing Blue Lions, so if other routes punch you less in the feelings I am as yet unaware but DANG. (I know this thread isn't so much for rambling about specific games, but dangit I only know one person irl who has played this and he's asleep!!! And I needed to ramble. xD)

Yeah, I only managed to recruit two characters from other houses (Ignatz and Dorothea.) I also lost a bunch of characters, because I always play classic with FE but am not great at this game. So I'll switch to casual if at all possible on future playthroughs! I intend to play through again on New Game Plus (most likely Golden Deer, as I really like Claude!) But I'll probably give it a rest once I finish this first playthrough, and play one of the other games on my list, because too many emotions is too much for Thorn!!! It doesn't help that I know (spoiler): Dimitri dies on every route except Blue Lions, and I got attached to him both in the first half's story and because he was my best unit. So even though I want to play Golden Deer to learn more about Claude...I will need to wait a bit I think. xD

I finished the game! Many emotions indeed, and not just because I lost nine characters on that final level alone...definitely need to play on casual next time. xD
But I loved it a lot, and will look out for a good sale so I can acquire my own copy (the one I am currently using is my brother's.)

Spoilers for The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles! Me playing case 2-3: Well, it's a bummer that I can't get any fingerprints from the murder weapon, but since this is the early 1900s it makes sense because technology just wasn't as advanced back then.
Me at the end of 2-5: HOLOGRAMS?! (That complaint aside, it was still an excellent game, so go play it if you can)

Had my first successful run of Hades today! Only took me...54 attempts. xD Finally got through with the Adamant Rail. I had a lot of emotions about the surface! The sunset, the way Zag's little foot-flames sputter against the snow, and the revelation Persephone didn't know he was alive? So excited to keep playing and learn more!
I'd guessed from Hades' dialogue that Zag wouldn't be able to survive long on the surface, but doesn't mean that scene didn't make me emotional!

Anyone else gearing up for Elden Ring? I pre-ordered the basic edition today. Had a snazzy 15% off coupon so I figured why not. I normally avoid pre-orders like the plague too, but everything in the modern From Software catalogue is so consistently fantastic that I had no reservations about it.
If I can get a wired connection set up to my rig before February I might do a few streams when it comes out.

Sonic Frontiers trailer just dropped, and it... looks good? The rumours of an open world Sonic game were true, lol. I can see some potential here. Don't mess this one up, Sega. X'D

Normally, I don't do this, Blueysicle -If I'm not mistaken, but I believe you're a huge fan of Banjo-Kazooie. Anyways, you're probably going to be happy that the original game is available to play, but only if you have Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass

EDIT: I apologize Ian Wolf-Park if I came off as snippy and I do want to emphasize that my ire is solely at Nintendo here. I'd love to play Banjo-Kazooie and the other N64 games I grew up with again, but Nintendo needs to either lower the price of the NSO Expansion Pass or offer a cheaper, monthly option for it, because the the deal they're offering now is terrible. I was thrilled when they first announced it in the last Nintendo Direct, but was immensely disappointed when they revealed the price in the Animal Crossing Direct.

And I do agree that the price tag is steep ($64/year, well $63.99, where I am).
