I beat it. Here’s the evidence: The ending was too predictable based on earlier foreshadowing. The bosses were decently hard except the last fight, which was quite easy. I’m not going to go back and finish all the side quests though.

I vagueposted about it in the Mini-Rants thread last night, but has anyone seen that picture of the guy in the audience of The Game Awards that fell asleep? Well that basically summed up my feelings on the show. And I swear I'm not just saying that just because we didn't get to see the fifth DLC character for Smash. The beginning had some neat stuff, but after that it was more or less a huge bore. And saving the last announcement of the night for a tie-in movie game that looks like it was made for the PS2? Really? Reggie had a good speech, at least. (Also helps that he was one of the few presenters that didn't sound like they wanted to be somewhere else) And though No More Heroes 3 and Ghost of Tsushima don't look like they'd be my thing, they had pretty neat trailers.

The photo that Phish chose to complete the game with on his first (and only) playthrough was of the Cup Noodles, turning the dumb corny ending into a beautiful scene of shameless corporate shilling! 8D

Then I started a game of Just Cause 3. I wanted to play a game where I could just mess around. There's not much to the plot other than an attempt to overthrow a dictator. I did die a lot yesterday though because I was out of rocket launcher ammo and finally I decided to go get some during the mission because.. well you actually need heavy weaponry to destroy tanks.

(Though, FFXV is a bit of a special case as its development was a nuclear train wreck. The whole project kinda collapsed from within... which is what happens when you have two directors who can't agree on what the story or gameplay should be like. One wanted a linear story and game play focused on the main character's romance, the other wanted an explorative open world with focus on brotherhood as a main theme... yeah. Kablammo.) See, that makes it make perfect sense in hindsight. I got utterly sucked in by the Magical Frenship Boy Band Road Trip, and then, like I said... squeenix up and steals my kneecaps. I still feel betrayed.

Dragon Age: Inquisition went on sale over the holiday and I ended up picking it up. This is my first Dragon Age game and I feel slightly guilty handing some money over to EA, but it’s a decent game so far: except I can’t romance the character I really want my main character to romance.

The final DLC for Three Houses has been released. From the looks of it, it's a side story (a Gaiden game, if you can call it) to the main game, called 'Cindered Shadows'. If you played a New Game +, 4 Crests make an early bird cameo long before the DLC (Aubin, Chevalier, Timotheos, and Noa), which are the focus of the side story.

I'm not much of a PC gamer but NVidia Geforce Now looks pretty interesting. Essentially, the service dumps you inside a Windows remote desktop session and then allows you to sign into Steam and install a compatible game. You can then play said game while it's streaming to you via the cloud. But you are playing your game, that you bought from Steam... not a game you had to rebuy just to get it working in the cloud which is what Stadia forces you to do.
The paid tier gives you Raytracing and sessions that last longer than an hour and you avoid the waiting queue when launching into your game. That said, you probably need a very stable internet connection, preferably hardwired into the network. As I'm not much of a PC gamer, my only game right now that I can play is Skyrim. I guess I never got to play that on full settings though. I see this as an alternative to expensive PC builds though.

I guess I never got to play that on full settings though. I see this as an alternative to expensive PC builds though. As a fellow user of Nvidia Geforce Now, I definitely recommend it. In fact, I was part of the beta before they released the public version. Back then Beta players could play sessions as long as 4 hours (or 3). I mainly use it to play a ton of the games on Steam that won't run on my current cruddy PC setup.
That being said, there is one major con to Geforce Now that brings it down for me, the main one is game compatibility. Not all the Steam games are available on the platform, which is kind of a bummer, since there's a lot of games I've been dying to pick up again in my library, but have not been added to the lineup. Despite that, more games are being made compatible every now and then to the service, but it's slow progress.
Speaking of the Paid tier, it can get quite expensive depending on how long you play. (If you play for like, 5 hours every day, that could easily end up paying 2k per year.)

Ugh, it appears I've bitten off more than I can chew with this Fire Emblem DLC. I was ill-prepared for battle and well, I had to retreat several times. Going to reattempt tonight.

Animal Crossing sounds so good and I really wish I had bought a Switch over Christmas now. I'll have to console myself with some Stardew Valley.

Well, I guess FFVII Remake: Midgar Episode will be PS4 exclusive until next March. Then I'm hoping it crosses over to Xbox at the very least. www.theverge.com/2019/12/10/21004739/final-fantasy-7-remake-ps4-timed-exclusiveThat gives me a year to see if Squeenix ruined everything again and for them to iron out some things. Now the real question is since they made one game into three games now, will the extra content be any good. And plus does this mean all three episodes lose exclusivity next March?

*headdesk* *facepalm* *headdesk*
I’m still trash at Fire Emblem. Maddening difficulty is just overwhelming. Stuck at the Battle of the Eagle and Lion and playing as Black Eagles + Ashen Wolves. Planning to finally beat Edelgard’s route after clearing all of the other ones way earlier. But my units keep getting owned and the RNG just won’t give me a break.

Ran out of space on our PS4. FF15 is the first to go. That 70GB of space can be better used. XD
