Yeah, it's odd how Nintendo hasn't come up on this thread much. I'm primarily a Nintendo fan also and my fondest gaming memories are from the GBC to GC eras. Pokémon was basically my childhood and I'll always be a huge fan of it. I like a lot of the music in the series, though in many cases that may be mostly due to nostalgia. (The SSBB remix of the Road to Viridian City route music is one of my favorites because of nostalgia.) SSBB remixes are always awesome, but I do particularly love what they did with the Zelda tunes.
Sadly I've never finished a PMD game, although I always wanted to. I have Explorers of Time, but I got stuck on this ridiculously early dungeon because my two Pokémon (Grass and Water) are weak to the attacks used by the enemies there. I'll have to go back to that eventually.

Yeah, I actually got back into Pokémon a while ago and have been replaying all my old games. (Currently replaying Colosseum—btw, I lol'd at your sig, Coaster) So yey for Pokémon and its awesome music *highfive* On the topic of music, I have a fondness for the music of pretty much any game I've ever played, but if I had to pick favorites, um... Pokémon Colosseum has some pretty awesome music, actually! And TLoZ:Wind Waker has some pretty sweet music, too. That one desert-y boss from that game has really cool BGM. I also have a fondness for the original Spyro trilogy music due to nostalgia. :3 Probably one of my favorites, though, is the music from an obscure Japanese puzzle game called Puzzle Star Sweep. For being cheap and badly dubbed, it's a pretty awesome and addicting game. And the music is just plain cool. EDIT: Kirby Air Ride has some pretty fun music too, come to think! And Kirby 64, though that might just be for nostalgia too. And— hang on, i can't tell if i'm listing off my favorite music anymore or just my favorite games >_>

I used to be a big Nintendo fan. But around the end of the Gamecube and start of the Wii, I just gave up on them. Nintendo games were becoming to easy, or made easier then they should to make them more available to the all family members... Minigames were on the rise. It just got to the point of nothing I tried was any fun. My friend even sold his Wii out of disgust of not having any good games to play. The only game since we really wanted to play has been Skyward Sword.
So I just moved onto the Xbox and PC, since I could actually have a challenge to play.

Aw dude, I'm glad to see some fellow Pokemon Colosseum/XD fans here! 8D Such underrated games; I love them so~ <3 Speaking of teh Pogeymanz, Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 are coming out in the US tomorrow. I'm getting Black 2. Amazingly, I've done a good job of keeping away from most spoilers since it was released in Japan. Contrary to the lead up to B/W's English release, when I spoiled myself silly.

I kind of stopped following the new games around that time period myself, actually. XD; I mean, we have a Wii, but we only have a handful of games for the Wii. Mostly just the party-style multiplayer ones, and then Brawl, Metroid and Kirby. It wasn't so much the lack of difficulty that drove me away (I was pretty terrible at gaming for the longest time, lol), just that all the series I was interested in were starting to feel repetitive, and the new games were too expensive, and then the internet came along and the rest is history. :B (this is why I'm out of date with all the game series I follow) (this is also why all my favorite games are old school) (...this is also probably why my brain keeps forgetting that games that came out eight years ago aren't new)

Yeah, I never wind up touching the Wii except on holidays when my family can gather together and play silly party games like Smash Bros or Mario Party. Yes, we do love Mario Party. Mostly it's because my mom and uncle love playing party games, but they're crappy gamers in general. XDDDD My mom can grasp the concept of shaking a Wiimote as fast as possible to win, even when she can't grasp the concept of double-jumps in Smash Bros. (Years we've had this game. Years. Still can't get it.)
I think we'd probably play some of those Kinnect party games too, if our grandma's living room wasn't too tiny for that sensor. :c And it's never seemed worth the $30 for that camera addon thing that fixes that.

The Wiimote controls phailed for most games (games I own/played, anyway) It made Donkey Kong Country Returns harder than it should've, just because of the crummy necessary waggle roll. ._.
Classic controller/GCN controller are all I use. XD
Today I was feeling nostalgic about Mario Kart, and wondered how many of us here at the NTWF own Mario Kart Wii? I don't think we've ever raced together...? I think it would be fun. X3

Can you race in Mario Kart Wii over the internets? I've never tried. XD I haven't played it in ages.

Sooo. Those Borderland 2 players. Any of you try out the Mechromancer Gaige yet? Or listen to her echo blogs on her twitter? She's a fun class XD A great combo is her and Axton. Something about letting a giant robot and turret take out everything for you is just so satisfying XD

I tried Axton a bit - remember my plethora of classes? How about the epic gemini turrets of death and awesome? - and he's okay. And then I went around, made Sage [Gaige] and then proceeded to be a complete and total Anarchist. :3
The Anarchy Stack System (I would abbreviate that... but no) is just really interesting to me. It's a stack based system that's fueled by two things; emptying a clip and killing an enemy. More stacks equals more damage and less accuracy. Prior to getting Discord, the punishment for reloading prematurely is death losing all your stacks. With Discord - which is activated by prematurely reloading - you gain accuracy, fire rate, and health regeneration. You can reload manually again to shut off Discord, stopping your Anarchy from draining.
There are further uses for Anarchy, of course... from digi-splosions to digistructing claws to rip your foes to shreds!!
...And there is Professor Shade's lesson on Anarchy. Sure, your hit-miss ratio will be absolutely abyssal, but if you hit somethi-BOOM! IN THE FACE! NEED IT! WANT IT! Anarchy, ho!

Since my friend is running down the full Anarchy tree, I'm going mostly down the middle for a change.

Yeah, the middle tree is mostly electrical/elements. It has some interesting skills, if I recall. That being said, since I'm going for an Anarchist build, I'm definitely maxing out 'Close Enough'.

I put the point into Anarchy to play with it. It really makes it easier to solo XD But dos stink when you reload by mistake. And since I'm not going down that tree, I never get to Discord . But yeah, the middle tree tends to give Death Trap a ton more skills and does a lot of electrical stuff. Electric based stuff is one of those elements I never use in the first or second game XD (Corrosive is my favorite) However there is something satisfying about criticaling a enemy and watching them burst into a electrical explosion hitting enemies around them XD Gaige (Lucy in my case, since her voice actress does the character Lucy in Fairy Tail XD) is turning into my secondary character big time. She really reminds me of Mordecai from the first game. And that was my class XD (me being a Mordecai fan, this game really tugged a lot of strings for me) The next time I go to my friend's place, we're going to start the pirate DLC.
