Okay! I guess we should start talking specifics. I'm going to assume Saturday for the meetup - what time do we all want to gather at Covent Garden? Noon-ish, late morning?
And if we decided to do a Saturday AND Sunday meetup, we can arrange that once we're all in person. ^^

Due to unforseen circumstances, I'll be returning to the UK next week, so I should be able to catapult myself down to London for the meetup. It sure has been a while since the last huge UK meetup!

Is everyone excited for this?  And I think there should be another PM going around, shouldn't there? I got one of them a while ago and it said that there would be another sent around, for contact info/facebook/pictures, but I haven't received any messages after that and I wonder if anyone else has. |

I've only received a PM from Celes. Also who exactly is going to this meetup- Elcie, Celes, Pacmanite and me? Is Jay going? Also exchanging mobile numbers as well as photos would be a good idea so we can text each other once we get there.
And just to confirm: Apple store at covent garden, 11am?

I think I speak for everyone when I say we all had a pretty awesome day today. ^_^ The traditional photos and write-up from my end will be available on either Tuesday or Wednesday when I get back to Scotland. All I'll say now is that it was full of awesome, geekery and cool shops.

So, here's my write-up of the meetup =D No photos I'm afraid, but I'm sure the others will upload some in due time. I met up with Pacmanite at just past eleven in Covent Garden. Celes and Elcie were running late so we wondered around a little. We went to the art market, where they were selling a variety of awesome jewellery and clocks and pictures, and we also saw a street show where a guy in a bright pink leotard was juggling knives on a volunteer's shoulders. It was as silly as it sounds. Then Celestial and Elcie arrived, so we went to meet them. As is typical, one of the first things we did was bought cookies. Then we got lunch in a pie shop, which was delicious =D We then trekked up to Trafalgar Square, seeing among other things a bagpipe player and several large faberge eggs. We ended up in the book shop Waterstones, which was great =D We all grabbed our various books- The Fault in Our Stars for me, Cicero for Pacmanite, Sandman for Celestial, and I can't quite remember what Elcie read XD; We stayed in Waterstones for a couple of hours just reading and re-enacting Firefly scenes with toy dinosaurs (photos to come I'm sure). After Waterstones, the obvious next stop was everyone's favourite geek store, Forbidden Planet =D Amazingly, we all managed to leave without buying the entire store, but we certainly had a good browse around ^^ We then all decided we were hungry again, and stopped off in a deli which served some great falafel and baklava =D We all gave each other doodle sheets, which was a great way to finish off the day ^_^ Then unfortunately it was time for us to part ways. Overall it was a really awesome day and it was super great meeting everyone =D Here's a photo of my doodle sheet: The 'Elcie <3 NTWF' doodle is obviously from Elcie, team ZH is from Celes and tortoise/hare is from Pacmanite =D |

Why is there no video of some of my favourite people enacting some of my favourite TV scenes with some of my favourite reptiles/birds/whatevers? WHY?
