*prods* So, the weekend of the 30th/31st of March it is, for the big meetup? I'm asking because if I want cheap tickets (always useful), I need to book now.
Also, might as well ask: anybody willing to give me a floor to sleep on for that weekend? xD If not, I'll stay with my dad but since he lives in Southampton, it might be a bit awkward travelling for me.

Yes, 30/31 sounds ideal. As for a floor to sleep on, I.... might be able to arrange that but we'll see. We are technically not supposed to have guests in these flats but one or two nights shouldn't cause any problems, and a couple of other people will be doing the same thing (though not at the same time lol). I'll have to see how my flatmates feel about it!

So, do we have any ideas for a... well, a meeting point for the meetup? You all are welcome to come to our flat to start from there, but it'd probably make more sense to go somewhere more central, I guess. A restaurant? Museum? I dunno - someone give me an opinion!

I'd perfer to meet somewhere which is either free or cheap. xD A museum would be nice though. The Science Museum is pretty cool or we can do what me and Zylaa did and go to the Natural History museum. Or we can do both, they are very close.
But please suggest other ideas since museums may not be everyone's cup of tea. ^^

Ooh, okay, ideas! ^_^ -Tate Modern/ that general area? That's on the Thames, near the Globe and St Paul's. I like the Tate modern as a general place to wonder around, but I guess maybe modern art isn't everyone's thing XD -The National Gallery/Trafalgar Square -Wondering about the markets in Camden or Portobello (I'm not so familiar with Portobello though) -Science museum and Natural History museum are always great -Regents Park or Hyde Park? That's always nice, I don't know if it'll be cold though

I would love to wander around the markets and the park. Trafalgar square is also an excellent idea, not too sure about the galleries. But hey, whatever floats everyone's boats. xD
I booked my tickets! ^^ I should be in London Friday evening and leave Monday morning. So, when shall we do the meetup, Saturday or Sunday? Or shall we go for both days?

And ooh, I've actually been meaning to go to Camden Market but I still haven't been.

I love Covent Garden. They have a most lovely pie shop there. And on certain days they have a market where people sell their family heirloom type antique-y things. Like a mini Antique's roadshow. I need to check when that's on, because it's fun to wander around looking at old stuff. In any case, I like museums and galleries too. And parks, as long as the weather is mild.

Covent Garden seems like the current choice? I'd be happy with that =D It's easy enough to get to, and there's lots of stuff to do ^^ And if we wanted to, it's reasonably easy to get to hyde park or somewhere from there =3 Or I'd be equally happy with a museum if we want to go there instead. Anything's good XD

Yep, looks like Covent Garden has a consensus. If anyone has any objections, speak now! XD

Just a quick note - I checked the schedule for the Jubilee Market at Covent Garden, and the antiques market is only there on Mondays. (On Saturdays and Sundays there's the arts and crafts market, which is also nice to stroll around). But yeah, lots to do and see around Covent Garden. I love that place.

Just went to Covent Garden today to stake out a specific meeting place - how about in front of the Apple Store? Nice and noticeable and there's enough space out front of it that we won't get in the way gathering there.

Sounds good ^^ We should probably send around a PM nearer the time with mobile numbers and a photo of ourselves, so we recognise each other XD
