I'm glad you guys are okay. After Hurricane Katrina I tend to worry about natural disasters and things. *hugs you all*

Spot (for those of you who remember her) was also in the path. She texted me this morning that they'd lost power, which gave her an excuse to draw all day. Haven't heard anything since, but based on reports and her message, it sounds like she's doing alright.

You call that a hurricane? That wasn't a hurricane! That was a bad storm, at most. There was a storm much worse than that last winter, but it was more fun because it was snow.
To give you a point of reference, in the winter storm, when I jumped (if I could jump because of all the snow) I flew forward a couple of feet due to wind. This storm didn't even give me six inches of flight. There was literally no visible debris where I am.

The storm tore up my kitchen roof something awful. I'm going to have to call my landlady and tell her. It needs work done for sure, it's really bad. the ceiling is bowing and dripping from all the water that got in. My friend that works for the MTA in New York had to drive the bus yesterday with all the flooded streets. I hope he's ok. Also the CD store where all of Mike's friends work may have had it's inventory flooded out. They're really struggling, I hope that they didn't lose too much. I also lost internet while I was at work. >,< Even if it wasn't the worst storm, it was still really unpleasant.

So anyways, I tried the umbrella thing that I said I wasn't going to do during the storm and somehow ended up in Massachusetts...I had an iron grip on that umbrella.
Ok didn't happen, but in all seriousness, we didn't get hit that bad over by me. The internet was down all day yesterday, but the power didn't go out until maybe 6 pm or so. It came back (and the internet, yayz) this morning maybe 20 minutes ago, so 9:30 am about. Not too bad. Oh right, and our basement flooded, but we took care of it.
