In a situation where skin is drying and I'm seeing signs of dehydration.

Me: *Drinks more water, multiple cups.*
Body: "Okay I guess. =| "
Me: "Drinks one cup of herbal tea."
Body: "MY CROPS ARE WATERED."

Body, it's just water with herbs in it. It's not even the upper end brand.
(Guess I can't complain though.)

People will talk about the joys of motherhood and et-a-cetera but nothing prepares you for the feeling of waking up on a nice Saturday morning and hearing your sonnyboy drawing in his room while singing "badgerbadgerbadgerbadger MUSHROOM MUSHROOM."

He's going to a birthday party today. The parents of other second-graders won't know what hit 'em.

Every single time I've taken the car to the shop for maintenance with the radio on, I've picked her back up again with the radio turned all the way down to mute. That became one of my standard habits of picking the car up: start up, turn volume back up, go.

Then I got sick of driving with barely-not-disagreeable background music because every single one of our radio stations is eeehh, some just slightly less so, and built myself up a thumb drive with a sizable playlist collection. Most of the time it's cycling through the power metal folder because this is how I vibe and also the kids keep asking for it.

Every single time I've now taken the car to maintenance with the metal playlist on, I pick her back up with the volume still up.
