I am glad this is a shorter work week, as I have not been good with sleep the past few days. I only got three hours of sleep Monday night, and then today I was literally falling asleep at my desk while sitting up. Had to catch myself twice not to fully doze off rip. Today I was out late after work and didn't get back home and make dinner until near my bedtime, so I don't have faith that I'll catch up on sleep tonight either lol.

Saw a picture of a woman. Immediately hit with hard aesthetic attraction.
Realise she is around my size and kind of my shape.
"How can you think that is beautiful on another person and also hate yourself?"
Spent the next few minutres BSOD-ing trying to comprehend these two ideas at the same time.

I must be the only person to feel happy when I realsie that I am hungover.
To clarify, I don't like being hungover. But if I wake up with a splitting headache, I really hope it is a hangover, because that is an easy fix and will be gone by late afternoon after I have water and food.
The alternative is a migraine. Mine have no cure and can potentially last days. So, uh...yeah. You can see why I prefer what I prefer.

I have found a surefire way to cure imposter syndrome, at least specific to your field of study or something you're very knowledgeable in. I will share this technique.
1) Find a Facebook post suggestion or post on a page that's related to your field. (Facebook is one of the better examples for this.) Maybe it's a news article, maybe it's a pretty image that can be an illustration of a thing you know well due to your studies. For greater effect, make it something controversial to particular groups of people, no matter how well-studied the phenomenon is. (This might be easier to find for air-related sciences.)
2) Read the comments. Resist the urge to reply to any of them. No matter what. Then read your feelings.
3) Congratulations, you have banished your imposter syndrome.
(But seriously, resist the urge to reply to any of them even after this exercise. It's not worth it.)

Gen 3 Lagoona? I love her, that axolotl vibe is awesome (she's weird but adorable in the cartoon too!) Had to look up that particular Frankie doll- I do love their lil vest! I don't have a Frankie, but they and Twyla are on my list. A new shop that sells these dolls opened up across town, and looks like they stock Twyla, so I might have to check it out when I have some spare $$$. I'm glad you got the gifts you wanted! Such a cool doll line. |
