I got both Portal games. I'm playing the first one for the PC (Steam), and on level 16 I think I messed it up. Instead of using portals to making the turrets kill each other or something, I'd just pick up blocks and run at them and kill them that way. Well, now the blocks are acting weird, as if the floor is a sea and they just float around, and eventually sink. When I got to level 17, the companion cube that the machine dropped immediately sunk through the floor and now I'm stuck. >_> Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to fix it?
Edit: I didn't figure out how to stop it, but by starting a new file with level 17, I managed to get past that way and beat the game. :^D Downloading Portal 2 now.

Somewhere in the Steam app (under 'preferences,' I think) there should be an option to verify your game files. Run that, and it should replace any missing files, and possibly corrupted ones, too. If that doesn't work, try deleting and re-installing Portal. If that doesn't work, it's probably your save file. Not much you can do there other than use other saves.

I already stopped the glitch, but if it happens again, I'll try that. Thank you. :^)

Cool! She sounds so... different compared to Miss Homicidal Yandere. I only listened to a little bit though.

i started watching it and i couldn't stop it was like 1:10am by the time i was done At any rate, I agree, she was not what I was expecting for the voice of GLaDOS. XD I think half the reason I kept listening was because I was trying to figure out how this woman was actually GLaDOS. Very neat, though. :3

Have you all heard her in the Portal commentary? =D Here's a video that contains all her portions of the commentary. A lot of it is stuff she also mentions in the interview, but there's one part where they actually play one of GLaDOS's lines, before and after processing it. It's pretty cool.

Sooo I just finished Portal 2 yesterday =D
But I haven't played the first Portal yet (wasn't my idea to play them out of order). I was wondering, though; does it come on its own, as something I could order from Gamefly, or does it only come in The Orange Box, or whatever that pack-thing is called?

If you're playing it on a console, I'm pretty sure the Orange Box is your only option. Grats on beating 2! Now you can look at this spoiler-ific from a collection of fake books based off of video games. Oh, also:

Console is only Orange Box from what I can remember. For computer you can buy just Portal or Orange Box.

I actually kind of like this song better when she sings it without the voice filter =P ("Still Alive" is better with GLaDOS, though).

Just stopping in to say thanks for posting all these links. That interview with Ellen McLain is awesome. She seems like an amazing person.
I like that version of Want You Gone better than the game version, also. Mostly because I'm not that much of a fan of the computerized backing track in the official version.
...also, I'm not sure why I've never posted here before.
