Hey Portal fans, I have a completely random question!  So has it been confirmed one way or the other that Chell is mute? I mean, I admit I haven't played all the way through either game (I know most of the plot of Portal 2 though from watching Omni play), and all I'm going off is the ending of Portal 2 where GLaDOS describes Chell as "mute," vs. something I saw on TV Tropes that implied that Valve said she was "too stubborn to give GLaDOS the honor of speaking" or something like that, but I'm not sure which is a more reliable source. XD; So I was just curious if it actually says somewhere. |

Wheatley suggests in Portal 2 that she might have brain damage and be unable to speak, but Erik Wolpaw (one of the writers), I believe, said that he thinks that Chell just doesn't want to give them the satisfaction of a response or something, though that was just what he thought, and not necessarily what everyone at Valve thinks. It's up to interpretation, basically. |

Also, I just go Portal 2 three days ago, and beat both solo and co op already... with my 8 year old sis.... sorta made me laugh.

I heard about that! That's so sweet. It's pretty amazing that the guy actually got Ellen McLain to record GLaDOS's lines. I just listened to it without watching, for the same reason that Omni didn't watch, so I don't know what the levels look like, but I'll have to download it soon!

:3 A very special custom level! That's absolutely adorable and sweet! I remember a Chrono Trigger engagement as well, but this...! This is just so sweet as well. I love the laser heart and the transforming church! ;D And they got Ellen Mclain to record the lines for them as well! ;D |

Finally got my debit card and got the original Portal.  The first game is short, not counting replay value for achievements and such.  Thankfully, there are also a lot of fan-made level packs and such.  |

Actually, I've had Portal 2 for awhile now.  Asked for it and got it as a birthday present. Yeah, I know, I played them out of order, not counting the demo. Still enjoying the gameplay and such, though. I'm going through mods and such for the sake of new gameplay, though I guess I've still got 'challenge levels' and such. Do really like the games and humor.  I've been pondering making some levels of my own, sometime. |
