I sent mine in last week Tuesday and got confirmation this week, so I'd say that is weird. Were yours clearly labeled as being "issue 500"? They could have been missed if they weren't. Or perhaps you just were unlucky. Here's hoping for you! Yup, all I put in the comments was "This is for issue 500" I'm just hoping it didn't get lost like last time D: and thanks :3

Yup, the story was titled with 500 and I left for issue 500 - happy 500th issue, NT. Whatever, I'll try again for 550. Still no NM though.

It's possible that Droplet had more than enough "issue 500" related content, and wanted to include some regular stuff to balance it. That would explain why my comic (a ramble about the Tax Beast being too stereotypically monsterish) got in.

Maybe, but it doesn't explain no rejection letter

Maybe, but it doesn't explain no rejection letter You sent it "early last week?" If that's so, then it's totally normal for it to take two or three weeks for Droplet to get back to you. If you don't hear anything today or tomorrow, then you'll probably hear back next week, and it still wouldn't be out of the ordinary.

Yeah, I guess I shouldn't have expected anything, since I only submitted on the 11th. My last entry took a little over five weeks to get held over X3
But dang, I'm excited to read the stories and comics and articles of everyone who was accepted! Been waiting for another edition of Team Squad Force

Unless this is a special occurance for the 50th issues, I usually hear back in a week, the 4 times I have been published. Anyway grats again to those who made it in.

It's because of the number of submissions. Everyone wants in the five hundredth issue, either for the avatar, the potential of a nice prize, or just to have been in an historic issue. Since Droplet has to thoroughly look through everything submitted, the greater submission volume means that it takes longer than usual for her to get to a given comic/article/story.

Even regular issues can take up to three weeks to hear back (regarding comics, that is. I hear other things like series can take much longer). Feedback time tends to be shorter at different times of the year, but is definitely longest in the summer, when most kids are out of school and have more time to submit to the NT. :3 Which isn't to say that that's always the case, but it's a possibility.
