Equestria Girls is only being shown in specialty theaters. I know a small theater down the street from me is showing on Sunday here. But I won't be here, so not seeing it.
There are some terrible recordings online if you look though. I've seen a few of the song pieces in it that way.

No offence but you're sounding a bit angry I honestly thought that was the end of MLP, but if there's going to be more then that's wonderful news! YAY ^_^

Found a version of the movie online. Today, I decided to watch it out of curiosity.
It was... interesting. xD It is really heavy-handed on the whole high school social drama themes, though. And there were a few inconsistencies that I couldn't help but see. There are still some good themes and things from the show that still made it, though. And a few things were interesting. Overall, though... I'm kinda "I'unno" about it right now. Probably mostly because of all the deviations from the normal, but also a few other things. I guess I'll see what I think of it in hindsight, once I've thought about it a bit more?

If there's one thing you should think about when seeing movies for the first time without having a mindset going in like "I'm going to hate this", it's that first impressions are often correct.
I'm having the same issue with another movie atm xD;
But were the inconsistencies noticeable, like a dramatic deviation in personality? There are some of those in the show, but... *shrugs* ((Need I remind you about the Element of Generosity at the end of the wedding xDD))

I'm having the same issue with another movie atm xD; But were the inconsistencies noticeable, like a dramatic deviation in personality? There are some of those in the show, but... *shrugs* ((Need I remind you about the Element of Generosity at the end of the wedding xDD)) Personality wise, there weren't really any deviations from the mane cast. (At least, none that I could see. And besides, the mane six aren't perfect.) But the inconsistencies and plot holes I saw were definitely noticeable. Plus, I wasn't keen on some of the things that occurred the way they did, but I'll spare the spoilers. Rambling on a few inconsistencies that WILL contain spoilers: The thing that split up the Mane 6 5 was the fact that Sunset Shimmer had sent false messages to each of them and let miscommunication take its course. Except... She did it by email and telephone. I'm assuming that they each had each other on their contacts. So what, did Sunset Shimmer become a 1337 haxor or something? xD I could maybe see her grabbing one of their laptops or phones while they aren't looking, but for all of them? Or are the Mane 6 so bad at technology that they don't recognize fake usernames or unknown phone numbers?
And yet she creates such a terrible bunch of fake photographs. ...And Luna doesn't even notice. xD You'd think with the way she manipulated the photos it'd be reaaaally obvious. She didn't even use Photoshop!
(And then when the pictures are revealed to be a fake, why didn't Luna question Sunset's false testimony and then confront her about it being possibly her who ruined the gym? Or at least just the former part?)
One thing that I confused for an inconsistency was the whole thing with Fluttershy turning in the crown to the principal, and then Twilight going: "In order to get it back, I must win it!". And for a while, I was thinking why the heck the principals were offering things from the lost and found as prizes. Or also why Twilight couldn't just say "I lost a crown and it's really important to me. I think the one in the Lost and Found is mine. Can I have it back?". Then I remembered that Sunset replaced it with a fake replica that I assume was the crown from the school, and Principal Celestia thought it was just found and returned. But it's really not clear on that part, and I feel like they could've added some extra lines just to clear that up. It's not that long of a movie.
Where are the real human versions of Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle? A human version of Twilight Sparkle was mentioned, but then never brought up again. But... Where are they? If this is an alternate universe, why isn't realhuman!Twilight among the HuMane Cast?
How was Twilight able to get away with running for Fall Princess when she wasn't even enrolled in school? By that logic, I could walk into a school, pretend to be a student, and run for prom queen without having my motives questioned. Wouldn't someone notice? Particularly the principals?
So Twilight had to sleep in the library for the entire 3-day time period. Did she... never shower or something? And no one notices?
At the end, where the school is attacked, wouldn't someone notice or hear something happening from afar and send police?
Given what happened in the end, wouldn't the residents of this non-magical world be much more weirded out than they actually were? Like, fundamentals-of-life-questioning weirded out? (Even got lampshaded by Spike. "Did that dog just talk?! Woah! Weird!" "Seriously? The talking dog is the weird thing about all this?". But the lampshading didn't assuage me on that issue.) Also more things, but this is long enough. There's a lot. This is without me including stuff I liked/didn't like.

I watched Equestria Girls on youtube a little while ago (I found an upload >_>), and honestly, I loved it. XD Maybe it was partly because I had super low expectations, but I didn't even have any real complaints about it. It was MUCH better than I thought it would be and I enjoyed it a whole lot. ^_^ I'd buy it on DVD.

I still haven't seen it. I didn't see that many MLP cosplayers this year at Anime Expo. Of course, I didn't go to the gathering either on the last day. But the cosplayers in general did seem to drop from last year. Still, did see a few people do Fluttershy, Discord, Chrysalis, and in one case the CMCs! XD I didn't get any of them in a picture though...
