So like. Build-a-Bear is making MLP plushies now. ._. They've started with Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash, and they're actually pretty good-looking. www.buildabear.com/shopping/productDetail.jsp?productId=prod11020044Granted, I would've preferred they'd just made the hairshape as plushie instead of giving them that awful faux hair, but the bodieshapes are quite awesome. Also $24 sure beats the heck out of those hundred-dollar fanmade ones. X3 Aw man, more awesome merch that we don't get up here because it's in stores we don't have. D:

And look for all of the references to other series and stuff! omg. That's pretty awesome. The MLP animation was very nice, and looked very close to official! The PPG animation not as much, unless the animation style changed in the later seasons that I didn't watch, but it was nice nonetheless. :3 My only real complaint is that the pacing was really weird. Like at the beginning, it was suuuper slow, then it was great for the whole Townsville part, and then it was super sped up the instant Pinkie showed up and brought Rainbow back. I mean, I thought they would at least spend more time on Ponyville being in ruins. XD; I also felt like the references and brony in-jokes were a little heavy-handed, but I guess that's to be expected with a fan episode. :B Anyway, ranting aside, I thought it was pretty awesome! The music was great, and some of those voice actors were amazingly close to the official voices. @_@ Also, I loved the transition between the two worlds, where it showed characters from their respective channels. I didn't realize it when she was going to Cartoon Network—thought it was just referencing various other cartoons of the good ol' days—but I got it when it showed the Hub characters when she was going back. I thought that was pretty ingenious. And the PPG interacting with Rainbow was the best thing, lol. "IT'S A PONY!! " It also got me super nostalgic about my childhood obsession with PPG. Ah, good days.

Just realized that every member of the mane six is voiced by an actress whose first name begins either with an A or a T. Not only that, the ones with A names voice two main characters; the ones with T names voice just one. Is it just me, or is that a pretty wierd coincidence?

So I've been noticing that the release date for the Equestria Girls movie has been popping up lately for different theaters across the country. Heck even a small time theater within walking distance of me has it (June 29th).
The whole Equestria Girls thing seems a bit odd... But at the same time it seems interesting... But it also looks really weird... I really don't know what to think of it XD

The character designs for their human forms are distinctly unappealing, and disappointingly poorly-designed. Heck, if it's supposed to be a marketing ploy to make MLP more dress-up-able, then why the heck are they all wearing the same daggone clothing silhouettes? They've nearly all got high-waist skirts and knee-high boots. :/ Bleck, who even dresses like that?

Yeah I've seen better fan made human forms.

Yeah I've seen better fan made human forms. As someone who look up adult humanized fanarts I agree. You never heard the previous statement. >.> <.< And besides, the designs really make it look like they're encouraging anorexia, its like Winx Club all over again!

They're basically finding a way to bring in more money, following the Bratz, Winx Club, and Monster High look. Just, with pony qualities... I recall seeing earlier designs too. They looked weird, but were a bit better to me. As time goes by they keep making changes and make them look LESS humanized XD I think the earliest ones were human, but were all colored like their ponies (sort of reminded me of Doug) and had cutiemarks on their faces Later they had wings and horns... Then they had their hair tied in pony tails that kept going to look like they had tails... Now we got Twilight in her Alicorn stage and looks like she HAS a tail. Just not sure what to think of this yet XD

I'm really curious to know how that will go... I can't imagine it being as good as MLP (though it would be amazing if it was), but I'm just hoping it doesn't turn out to be like any other generic little girl movie. I guess I'm reserving judgement until I know more about it. XD

*looks it up* Yargh, what's with their faces? So ugly. Looks like they smashed Winx Club and Monster High together. (and I like Monster High XD)
I agree with Draco, this is nothing but an attempt to sell dolls.

I agree with Draco, this is nothing but an attempt to sell dolls. Okay in all fairness this is a merchandising franchise and the show we've been watching were just big advertisements to sell toys. There's really nothing to sell out when they've been selling out since the first generation. (And most undeniably, the same goes for Transformers and G.I. Joe.)

One comment on Equestria Daily stuck out to me: their stomachs aren't much thicker than their necks.
While this may be a successful attempt to sell, I say, up the quality a little!

I know all about Hasbro and their merchandising. XD I collect Transformers afterall. I like a lot of Hasbro's series, actually. (Transformers, MLP, GI Joe, Jem, Furby...) They just want a slice of the fashion doll pie since (as Draco mentioned) Monster High and Bratz and etc. are really popular right now. MLP:FiM is one of their most popular girl's toys right now, so that's why they decided to use it. I'm just not impressed. Instead of humanized ponies, I'd much rather see Jem make a return. (but that will never happen XP)
