That's quite the improvement, Me Guy! And interesting how much your style changed. :3 It's definitely working towards something with more realism infused in it. I really love this contest. I looove looking at the ones with HUGE improvements, especially over short periods of time. It's inspiring. (Also kind of funny to come across the ones where their work seems to be worse than before, heehee. But I'm a jerk that way.) I feel guilty asking to be add in the list, mainly because I'm just starting my account and practising (my skill is horrible, but I hope it gets better), so feel free to do what you think it's better. n_n Thanks! c: Of course I can add you to the list! There're no skill or age requirements to join, just that you have a dA account at all. :3 |

Thanks Komori  It's funny though, I realize that my normal style is pretty much like the original, but more refined. However, sometimes I like to do more realistic pieces for fun and to try and get myself out of my comfort zone. Know what else is fun about this contest? You get to go back into your gallery and look at older stuff. I laughed a few times and noted improvement. But another fun aspect is looking at your characters and how much they've changed since their first outing in your art. I recalled how many different stages my character, Theme went through since she was first made, it's neat. |

Gah, I love the redraw contest idea, but I don't have any old pieces in my gallery...I suppose I could find something on my computer, upload it, then redraw it, though? It feels like cheating, but... =P

But it's not like a lot of entrants follow the rules anyway. XD Nothing fanart qualifies, for example.

DA's widgets thingy went crazy when I tried to edit my profile today. I had to update Firefox to get it to work again.
but my Featured Deviation widget has gone missing. It's not listed in the "add widgets" section.
Anyone know how to get it back?
EDIT: Oh, it came back! but now my Desktop screenshot widget (or whatever that was) is gone. XP I can live with that, though.

Yeah, the "More Like This" feature is pretty cool. It's funny, it suggests other Neo-artists when I try that feature on my own art, even if the pic that I pick has only-humans and has nothing to do with Neopets. XDDD Also, I don't know if this is new, but I got two spam messages on my recent pumpkin deviation. Like, real "Go to this website to earn $10,000!" spam. I've never encountered that on dA before. ._. |

XD Well, I thought at first it might've been tied to popularity or something, but I've had other pieces on the popular page without being spammed, and this one didn't even make it onto the popular page.
But yeah, when I told my sis, she said she gets them twice a week on her more-popular tutorial deviations. That's totally lame.
Also lame is that now there's a "Flagged as Spam" tag interspersed with all my comments. :/ It should disappear all the way.
