The title says it all. xD I'm starting to wonder if there's serious glitches in Classic!Mega Man's programming.

The copy of Megaman Megamix that I ordered about a month ago finally arrived last week and it is awesome. But the only bad thing is... I read through it far too quickly. xD

So I finally plowed through the Mega Man Zero series and beat Zero 4 the other day. I had a feeling that things would start to pick up after Zero 2, and hoo boy, I was NOT disappointed. ^_^ Capcom really stepped up to the plate. As if I thought the series could get any darker, Capcom decides to bring in this monster of a villain called Dr. Weil. Despite the similarity in naming, he's no Wily, and he actually makes Sigma seem like a pretty decent guy in comparison.
I really wasn't expecting the fight with Copy X to turn out like it did. Holy crap, Weil is a genius. xD; And I was very pleasantly surprised when another 4 Maverick stages appeared after the first 8, giving the game a whopping total of 12 mavericks as opposed to the usual 8. I'm glad that Capcom took a risk and broke tradition this time around. First of all, the Z-Knuckle has to be my favorite secondary weapon out of the whole series. Stealing weapons from enemies is something that we should have been able to do a long time ago. It's wicked fun. ^_^
At first I thought this game was going to be a little more lighthearted, on account of Area Zero being a lush forest with grass and trees and aminals, but by the end of the game I was on the verge of tears. During the credits I just wanted to run up that hill and give Ceil a big hug. ;_; At least I'm glad that she pulled herself together after a few minutes. That, and Zero went out in the most epic way imaginable, taking one of the most despicable human beings that ever existed with him in the process. Overall, a really epic climax to the series.

I've only played one MM game, but I want to join this club. I want to play the rest when I have the time. ^^ I've only played Megaman 2 so far. I haven't beaten it, but I'm in the Wily stages. And they're really tough. ; But that's a good thing. ^^ Haven't been to the Zero games yet. I still want to get through some of the other Mega games.

Added. ^_^ Welcome aboard!
Mega Man 2 is a pretty good game to start on, since it established a lot of the core gameplay that you'll see in every other MM game to date. It also happens to have the most brutally unfair Wily stages in existence, IMO, so don't feel bad if it takes you a while to beat. xD; Future games are a lot more balanced.
As for Mega Man Zero, I would definitely recommend playing through some of the Mega Man X games first, especially Mega Man X(1). It's not mandatory, but you'll be able to appreciate what's happening in MMZero more if you've played some of the X series prior. :3

Um… kinda shy about posting here, but might as well. Chloemew went ahead and hooked me on The Megas and now I really like MM2. XD I really love the songs, especially The Quick and the Blue. …To the point where I started writing an AU story based on that. The link is in my siggy if anyone is interested.

First Megaman Universe was cancelled, and now Legends 3. While I myself am not too bothered about that fact since my knowledge of the Legends series is very limited having never played it before, a lot of people who are understandably mad about this are claiming that the Megaman franchise is pretty much dead now. x_o

I'm actually pretty surprised that Capcom is pulling out of all these Mega Man games, since it obviously nets them a lot of sales whenever one is released. I'm almost convinced that it has something to do with Inafune (the creator of the franchise) no longer being with them. That being said, a company called CyberConnect2 has expressed interest in continuing the project. I've got my fingers crossed that something is made out of it!
