Okay, question to anyone who's finished a Zero game, no story spoilers:
So, when you beat the game, you unlock things like New Game + and Hard Mode. I've heard of doing both at once ('starting a Hard Mode game from your previous save'), but I'm having trouble finding out how to do it. For Hard Mode, I have to go Menu > L + New Game, which doesn't carry over my Cyber Elves or anything. For New Game +, I have to go Menu > Continue > save file with a finished game, which doesn't seem to be any harder.
From what I can tell, holding L while starting a New Game + doesn't give me Hard Mode. The guides on GameFAQs aren't helping. Am I missing something?

I think I might have read something about Hard Mode starting you off with the Proto form, but that's about the only information I've gotten. Maybe it's something that's exclusive to the GBA versions of the games as opposed to the Zero Collection on the DS? In either case, it's rather odd. xD;

Yeah, I remember having different armor when I started a Hard Mode game. Of course, it didn't give me any other power-ups when I plain started a Hard Mode. A know in X8 it outright asks you what difficulty you want your New Game + to be. You can even go from a 'hard' game to a 'normal' game (but you can't go down to easy). I guess they hadn't thought of that option yet when they made the series, and they haven't added it into the collection, either. On another note, I've beat Zero 3 and started Zero 4. Without really spoiling anything, I'd like to say that I like how Zero 4 has HUMANS! You get to see more of the interaction/relation(s) between Reploids and Humans! The introduction even had both 'humans' and 'reploids' capitalized, which was nice to me because I have a pet peeve over when people capitalize fictional race names, but not the word 'human.' It's especially when 'human' is side-by-side with another race name in the same sentence, which happens somewhat frequently in the Zero series. >_< Anyway, I'm going to stop before I ramble any more.

So I discovered a contest on DeviantArt for Mega Man-styled robot masters. ^_^ The contest itself is called The "Buncha Kids On The Internet Can Design Better Robots Than You Two" Contest (seriously xD), and it ends on October 8th. stealth.hapisan.com/SAGE10/Contest.htmlYou can submit as many as you want, and the winner of the contest gets their robot featured in a really cool-looking Mega Man 7-styled fangame. Thought I'd drop a note here in case any of you might be interested. As for myself, I've submitted two robot masters so far. Wish me luck!

...Wow. I'd kinda like to see what the winners end up being, as long as they're not vulgar or anything, of course. Ugh... Brain, I did not need that mental image.In other news, I've beaten MM10 with MegaMan. It was... Well, let's just say I hope the Hard Mode ending is better. (Though from the guides I've seen on GameFAQS, it looks doubtful. ) I'd also like to see what the ending is like for ProtoMan and Bass, the latter of which apparently has his own story in MM10, rather than just being a character you can use in the same levels without anything else being all that different. Still going to be tricky. Should practice up and save some E-tanks...

Actually, I'm not sure if the ending is different. That's what I meant by 'it's doubtful the hard mode ending is any better.' Sorry, I was distracted when I wrote that. I guess I should have been clearer.

I've watched a YouTube playthrough of Bass's game, and his story isn't really that interesting compared to Mega Man/Proto Man. It's full of fridge logic and WTFness. xD; Also, if you're aiming to beat some of the challenges (such as Mr. Perfect), PinkKittyRose's YouTube channel has some fantastic videos of no-damage runs for both MM9 and 10, as well as the same kind of runs for previous titles in the series. They definitely helped me tackle some of the bosses without taking damage.

I don't know, why did you make that? e__o *Is disturbed* XD Meh, to each their own. x3 You probably won't get it unless you watched Full Life Consequences. I arranged all of the robot master weapons in the order of their weakness, so I guess it could also serve as a quick reference in case you're wondering what weapon to use against what boss. xD;

...Can anyone explain to me why Flashman's world in MM2 is a Slippy Slidey Ice World? I don't know if it's technically ice, but it's blue and slippy, and that makes no sense, consiering the robot at the end. o.o ...Ohyeah, should've joined this place ages ago. xD I've played all of Battle Network, all of Star Force, Zero 3 & 4, and Megaman 1 & 2. In that order.
