I'm surprised that this has taken up a whole page of discussion. Then again, the standing and walking animations -are- the most frequently seen animations in the game, so that might have something to do with it. xD;
Anyway, like I said in my last post, I'll stick with the first one until I can think of something new.

I just took the time to read through the entire thread, and now see that I'm missing a lot of in-stuff simply by not knowing anything about Guild Wars stuff. D=
Also about all the discussion of food items, I can't honestly remember buying many healing items until I was forced to restock for the final re-match. Having just read that it's possible to break a chain, I'll have to go find that later. I became really efficient at timing to avoid combos so that I can jump with every strike and never stop moving to beat that part. XD
I also realized I'm kinda a terrible tester because I get immersed and then notice nothing wrong unless it's fairly large. I've noticed that I've been like that in everything too, I just glaze over problems or figure out the intent and don't worry about them. Much less investigate stuff to find mistakes or problems.
Also being a fast learner, I tend not to have as much problem with puzzles as others, thus the lever puzzle that people spent pages on I solved in maybe a minute or less the first time through. It was honestly quite a shock to see all the discussion. Same with a number of other rooms. I poke around until I find out what's going on and solve it. XD;
About new stuff, I think the intro dungeon could go with being a little faster. And that new outfit is excellent! And the ally stuff looks good too, though I always like the idea of having a point where I can sit back a bit and laugh at my opponents while some awesome ally knocks them down. Though I think maybe one that's more big and whose formation places them generally in front of the player as a sort of defensive person might be cool.
Lastly, I did finally come up with something that still leaves me looking pitiful:
When the game is started in fullscreen, one can 'leave game' to return to the Strongg Sapling selection screen and cannot remove fullscreen mode without actually quitting. Not a big deal, really...

I wouldn't feel bad about not being a diligent tester. By behaving like a regular player, you're still doing some valuable work since I can gauge the behavior and reactions of normal folks who play the game without dissecting everything in their path. ^_~
As far as testing goes, I probably should mention that since I intend to rebuild the engine from the ground up, you guys don't have to worry about any further testing for alpha 3 unless you want to. I've been involved in so many outside things since my last post here that I doubt I would feel motivated to continue from alpha 3's engine.
When I am ready to pick things back up, it's likely that I'll be treating the game as an entirely new project, as I've had a lot of time to think about what I want to improve, and also what I want to remove and streamline.

So anyway, I've been bored recently and got back into the game for a bit, and vaguely seemed to remember beating Mallus without healing at least once. So I went to try it again, and succeeded. How many healing items do others tend to need for him, out of curiosity? s958.photobucket.com/albums/ae69/Poldon19/Forum/?action=view¤t=Mallusnohealing.mp4(Video took several tries, only one of which I actually died in, the rest were figuring out a couple settings on the recording software. Also really had to struggle to get filesize down, I need to learn more about that. Originally was 220MB, now got one down to 20MB though. Still think that's rather huge for this. XD; EDIT: I just played it again for realz (because I kept closing to keep the room) and died the first attempt, then beat him with 49 health left. He's got to be feeling pretty blind by now. XD EDIT: Oh wow! XDDDDD Ikkin: "I'm going to have bladder issues if I keep drinking!" *had to restrain self to see if anything would[/s] happen, though I doubt it*

How many healing items do others tend to need for him, out of curiosity? Depends on how many mistakes I make. I can usually beat him without getting hit. XD

XD XDD I'm not quite there yet, but I haven't played in a long time, and when I did before I only played through a couple times at first. Also I had a friend over who I wanted to play the game on my computer, and he was pretty impressed at the idea of one person creating this. Strife. ^.^ He also happens to be dyslexic, and really appreciated the small amounts of text at one time, however there were places where some instructions disappeared before he could finish them. I think 'breaking the barrels' area had a bit of that, but I wasn't by him the whole time to see everything. Also he pointed out that "PRESS A KEY" probably needs to be changed for clarification. He got as far as the first cave entrance. Can't wait to have him over enough until he gets to the third dungeon. I think he'd really enjoy that. XDDD

Just found my old Laptop with this game on it, haven't played it in so long. Not even sure if it is the most current version, but I am about to play it again. I remember finding a few bugs in the past, will do another bug check this play through.
