There was no one standing at the desk, but on top of it were an empty white space and two buttons: "Library Search" and "I'm Feeling Lucky".

I'm kind of desperate to give my characters a lead to go by, so I had them check out the library. Then I realized I didn't know to write a library in a nerd novel.

Hence, they have a Google rip-off embedded in the front desk.
