Thirded. The NTWF never ceases to amaze me in what we can all accomplish. ^^

Fourthed. Go all of us and our epic winsomeness! <3
*sigh* Is anybody else missing their NaNo? I know I am, for some reason.

Fifthed. Congratulations, all of you. I didn't come close to finishing this year, but I've enjoyed stalking this board and watching everyone's word counts go up. You're all truly talented. ;D

I am too. xD; But the good news is that I'm not finished the story, so I still get to go back to it and write (not that I've done so since Monday, though -- I've been in a kind of post-NaNo stupor these last few days).

Yeah, I am in burnout. .____. WANT TO WRITE BUT DO NOT FEEL LIKE WRITING. It's a pain.

I remember that last year I didn't write for the whole month after Nano ended.

For me, it turned out that the day after NaNo ended was the day I have a two hour break, and I finished my book too quickly XD
I'm not done with this story, not even close, @.@, but I've kind of gone back to working on other things. I really, really missed last year's NaNo (which, yes, I'm still working on XP)
And I know this's late, but I've been steamrolled all week, so- Congratulations to all of you ^^

I started missing my NaNo the morning after I'd finished it. XD Which was weird 'cause I was ready to wish it good riddance for like half of the rest of the month, but then I guess the ending suddenly turned it awesome on me. But then I managed to go and get myself all hyped up over my other stories again, so I guess I kinda got over it? Ish?

I remember that last year I didn't write for the whole month after Nano ended. Me, too. D= I had the 'want to write but don't feel like it', which is kinda contradictory, if you ask me. xD But anyway, congrats to everyone who wrote even one word! You are all made of awesome. ^_^

I started missing my NaNo the morning after I'd finished it. XD Which was weird 'cause I was ready to wish it good riddance for like half of the rest of the month... Same here. My muse, despite her reluctance, felt truly unhappy when she did not have to type, something I had not expected, so the first day after my NaNo was spent writing a retrospection on the whole event, including a list of helpful hints to be taken to heart next year (like stocking up the freezer in October on prebaked rolls and convenience food so I don't have to go grocery shopping on weekends ;D ). But now I know that she wanted to go on writing because she didn't want to edit the whole thing, which has to be done now! (literally speaking as it is an advent calendar story) As for a writer's block, no time for this here and luckily my muse complied with it, helping me write a short but funny story on the subject of the beloved Surpise egges (Ü-Eier).

Congrats to you guys! I did not even come close... I'm going to guess at ~10k; I haven't actually counted up the handwritten bits. But I started a story I'd really like to finish eventually, and I've been inspired to do a major bit of outlining/organizing all of my in-progress stories once I get out for winter break. So it certainly wasn't a total loss.

Having the same feeling of burnout...though I have started another story that might, might go somewhere (if I can stop thinking about manga long enough to not rip it off completely, which will take a while...XD), and I have motivation to rewrite my Neo series that has been in the making for several years. ^^ (Though I think I'll have to scrap everything and make the plot completely anew.) Hmm... I think I'll get back to finishing my NaNo story in a little, with basic edits, so I can get my hands on one of those spiffy proof copies. ^^

Revival! Anyways. Rikku and I were talking about NaNo, and this question came up: what were the thoughts/feelings you had while writing your novels? (The discussion topic this was part of was something we were calling "NaNo Theory," if that helps with your answer.) Whenever I write quickly, I worry about whether I'm replacing my characters' personalities with my own, because my own personality comes most easily to me. I also spend time worrying about whether my book's actually good or if it's ever going to be good. This isn't just in the phrasing and style, but if the idea's a good one and if the plot works. I know that you're not supposed to do this during NaNo, but it still happens with me.
