Also, Hunty, since when does Goosh outrank me? *probably should've noticed this sooner* Since um, maybe a few years back? I think *can't well remember* The quartermaster rank is a bit of a complicated thing. In theory it outranks the second mate in that the quartermaster is able to veto the captain's decisions, but in reality that's a little on the unlikely side, so make of it what you will x'D Overall, since the crew is kinda thin these days and the pirates tend to drop off to do other things on the side, I think pretty much all officers are considered equal-ish and interchangeable if necessary. Actually I should just promote you to first mate on spot, haven't heard from Kat in ages. Now that I've caught up with the latest posts: Jina, there aren't beds on the Weewoo, only hammocks (not a lot of room to spare) and Goosh, you're dead meat xD And here's a question: how does Phoenix Down work again sans Sev? I mean, can it revive someone when there's no body to use it on? Because if not, I may have a nifty little plan for the riderrevival, but I'd want to know for sure first. Well yeah, we aren't exactly the most hierarchical of crews. I just wondered. XD Without Sev around, Phoenix Down is basically just giving someone the Phoenix Down that we have saved up from Sev, and poof, person is alive and happy. Not sure if it works when you don't have the corpse.

Moa Knights plz? So far Sarn and Shade are the only ones! Also, any Steampunk members heading into the Assembly hall, feel free to talk to Sarinon. She's generally well known among the guild members. *nodnod*
Also, I'm trying to kick Scar into joining with Oscar. ^_^

I'd love to add Ro in, if I can figure out 1) where, and 2) how to roleplay her. >.< Urgh.

I don't really want to take on the King as well as my two characters, so I'm kinda hoping someone will step up and take him on? *shrug* Sarn is too happy about Sarinon's arrival to realise why everyone else is so upset. He's... kinda oblivious to this sorta thing. xDDD

"It seemed there was impending doom on a yearly basis these days." ^ I vote that this quote be made the tagline of the roleplay, if not the Guilds in general. XDDDDD XDDDDD *bows* Thank you, thank you. <3 I wrote it because it's true.

And thus I have joined. I hope the posts are alright as far as intro posts go ^^;
As a FYI, I'm using only Sarge Scar from the Mercs and Oscar Featherstone from the Steampunks. Someone else may or may not be using Scarven the chronomancer as a NPC and I already gave them permission to do so ^_^

Creepiness...XD I hope my posts are more coherent than they feel, because they feel incoherent to me. I feel like I've been really distracted while writing them, though I've actually had minimal distractions this whole time...

Oh, and Ikkin, you do know that the minute you run into your friendly local cap'n, she's going to pose the good olde 'where do your loyalties lie? ¬¬' question again, right? x3 [glow=red,2,300]Why do I get the feeling that that's not gonna earn you any friends under the new guild system? XDDD Maybe we should work out the details of the Underdeep so we're not all contradicting each other. Feel free to debate any point. 1) According to Kiddo, the Underdeep is semi-sentient. For the purposes of this RP, it is not a sympathetic figure who just needs cuddles to make everything better. 2) Things can use the Underdeep to pass through to other worlds. Details can be debated. 3) The Underdeep works on both an individual level and a collective subconscious level. That is, it will recognize the strongest fear and use that. Most frequently this strongest fear is one that is shared by the group. If you go into the Underdeep with someone else and his fear is much stronger than yours, the Underdeep can make you see his fear as well. 4) Even non-sentient creatures are affected by the Underdeep. However, sentient creatures' fears are much stronger than those of non-sentient creatures. 5) The Underdeep can be conquered in a mind-over-matter sort of way. However, this is very difficult. The Underdeep will choose the fear that will be hardest to conquer. If you conquer that, it will switch to another. No one could keep playing mind games with Underdeep for extended periods of time without some protection (i.e. a phoenix, i.e. an Underdeep-proof suit.) 6) Lovecraftian horrors welcome. 7) You how they say, "it's all in your head, it can't hurt you?" Rider can attest to that being a lie. Did I miss anything? Any strong objections?[/glow]

Is it just me... or does all most of the mages have some kind of ability to make/control fire? xD
I really would like to stand out as far as magic goes, but the whole fire thing is deeply rooted into my character. I just hope, that since the Mages get a lot of focus seeing how The Underdeep is connected to the Manor, that it won't end out with just one, big fire fight. xD Not gonna break away from fire. My fire is blue (so is Nova's?) and caused by genetical abilities - therefor not really Magic-magic. But still.
Makes me wonder -why- fire is so popular. I'm just curious, really ^_^ So... mages. Why fire? =)

It never earned me friends in the old system either xD I just always made a point of keeping my guild together, considering how it was meant to be a Guilds' War. And you know that it'd be epic if we ended up completely pwning and dissolving the Underdeep via the Power of Love!TM and collective effort after putting aside differences and whatnot xD Someone shoot me, my brain is on the roll here. But yeah, I generally agree with the points. Although we'll probably end up setting the actual canon as the RP progresses. The GW2 gems' powers went through a number of explanations, most likely worked out for the better.

Why fire? =) Because the NTWF is full of pyromaniacs. xD Also because it's flashy and has the most noticable results when used. Like, an earth mage's abilities are more subtle, as with water and suchlike, but fire is more dramatic. As a note, Sarn is an enchanter, which means he works with song rather than big bangs and poofs. His is also a subtle magic and, although fire is a skill, his specialty is in psychological enchantments and wards.

xD Hunty, that would pwn. Unfortunately, I don't think this is this kind of story since we seem to be sliding down the scale of Idealism Versus Cynicism. Why fire? =) xD Seems that way. I guess fire is power as you can inflict some pretty serious damage with it and it gives yuu security as fire is the most powerful element you can create out of thin air (air isn't considered very strong. >>). That's my theory. I use it because of the dragon mythos. You can't have dragons without fire.

(air isn't considered very strong. >>) Even though you don't have to do much with it to make someone explode, and even less to make them suffocate. ...But don't get any ideas.
