Hey, on a random note, can I also join as a genre-savvy, deadpan snarker, talking cat? Dunno what guild yet, probably Mages or maybe even steampunk/Brassport.
Just wondering if animals can be characters, since we DO have a sentient nova...

Yeah, I was going to ask how the Underdeep works, 'cause I have a few things in mind. ^^ Literal nightmares...awesome. Good to know. ... Personally, I haven't the faintest idea of how the Underdeep works and am, in fact, a little bit sketchy on what it is, but hey, improvising's half the fun, right? ... Right? >.>; xD You seem to have understood what the Underdeep does, so yeah. I don't think anybody's tried to define why the Underdeep taps into fears instead of, say, happy memories of cake and cotton candy though. We can RP anthropomorphic animals (which three of the characters I RP are); nothing's stopping you from playing a talking animal.

Moonlight: I have a huge talking cat, and no one's complained about HER yet. ^^ (Although technically she's a familiar, but she's part of my character. ^^)

It'd be Guild Birthday Parties. ... Oh, and Kwoi, I forgot to mention - love the summary thread. =D And it'll probably turn out to be handy later on.

I don't think anybody's tried to define why the Underdeep taps into fears instead of, say, happy memories of cake and cotton candy though. Well, there are other places like the Underdeep in the forum that tap into other things (The Loft and The Edge, which fashion their creations from abandoned hopes and dreams and memory fragments, respectively). I'd think it's easiest to just say that they all use similar energies that just resonate better with certain aspects of the forumers they deal with.

It exists as an incarnation of our fears, conscious and subconscious. If you want to read the story that started the Underdeep-- which I highly recommend doing, as it (as of now) outranks this GW in epic creepiness: Voices. To quote from there, "The NTWF is shaped by our conscious imaginations and partly by our subconscious as well. The underdeep is what lies beneath the underground tunnels of our home and is formed by the subconscious nightmares of closed spaces, darkness, and the things that lie within."

Not all earthquakes create tsunamis. Depends on where the epicentre is. Some people probably felt it more, some less, some barely noticed. 'course, it'd be easier if we actually had a more or less solid map to work with x'D Anyone here know anyone who can do plausible cartography? I have a quick question. I want to join the roleplaying, but be affiliated with a certain guild later. Is this okay or do I have to join up with a guild when I start roleplaying? I hope this makes sense. So far as I know, there's no problem. I think Vyt RPed Cat Assassin before CA had any guild affiliations. (Actually, I'm not sure he has any official guild ties now.) The basic logic here is that you as the person behind the forum profile have to be affiliated with a guild in order to participate in a GW, full stop. Otherwise it could just as well sit in the regular Roleplays board (which probably needs more love anyway). It doesn't matter if any of your characters in the RP are affiliated with a guild (my life would become ver-ry complicated if I had to tie the Horsemen to a guild >> Even if having Death on board would be epic.) But you yourself have to be in a guild first. All those sneaky guestposts we get every once in a while, they're always by people who are otherwise in the ranklist of at least one guild. Trust me, I keep an eye on this. I'ma see if I can find the time to write up some kind of a GW general guidelines thing later today. Busybusybusy. Oh, and Ikkin, you do know that the minute you run into your friendly local cap'n, she's going to pose the good olde 'where do your loyalties lie? ¬¬' question again, right? x3

"It seemed there was impending doom on a yearly basis these days."
^ I vote that this quote be made the tagline of the roleplay, if not the Guilds in general. XDDDDD
Also, Hunty, since when does Goosh outrank me? *probably should've noticed this sooner*

Ahh, that was a loooooooong time ago, during GW1. It was by the end of the war, and I kind of wanted to build up some momentum to use for GW2. And by GW2, I officially placed CA under the Ninja Dojo, though I made him look like a special case for the Ninjas.

Also, Hunty, since when does Goosh outrank me? *probably should've noticed this sooner* Since um, maybe a few years back? I think *can't well remember* The quartermaster rank is a bit of a complicated thing. In theory it outranks the second mate in that the quartermaster is able to veto the captain's decisions, but in reality that's a little on the unlikely side, so make of it what you will x'D Overall, since the crew is kinda thin these days and the pirates tend to drop off to do other things on the side, I think pretty much all officers are considered equal-ish and interchangeable if necessary. Actually I should just promote you to first mate on spot, haven't heard from Kat in ages. Now that I've caught up with the latest posts: Jina, there aren't beds on the Weewoo, only hammocks (not a lot of room to spare) and Goosh, you're dead meat xD And here's a question: how does Phoenix Down work again sans Sev? I mean, can it revive someone when there's no body to use it on? Because if not, I may have a nifty little plan for the riderrevival, but I'd want to know for sure first.
