And Gil Maxwell has been born ^^
---
Oh, and did we ever decide on WHERE on the map Brassport is located? I was thinking (using the Guild's Center of Civilization picture as a reference) the upper right corner. Behind and between the Knight's castle and Mage Manor. Somewhere back in that clearing.
---
We also need to make one of the badges (I think rusted was the supported choice, need to check back on that) and make it official so we can add them to our Badge Holders ^^971

Thing is, the CoC picture is not really the map, it's just a convenient way to show all the guild HQs (according to the one who draws them). Right now I'm really thinking that the Castle and Tabloid Town should be little specks in the distance. Maybe the Manor too, though that always struck me as smaller.
In short, far away from just about everything, somewhere on the ocean (since we are a port city)

Well apparently however it is, the castle is somewhat visible from Gil's workshop ^^; I all ready edited my post once to not mention the other places <.<
But yeah, either way, in GW Gil is about to go scouting, yep.

Maybe the Manor too, though that always struck me as smaller. *pokes head in* Guild canon is kinda messy in that particular question. According to the Knights, Dunburrow is landlocked and the closest guild to it is Mage Manor (which is still a fair distance away). According to GW2, the cliff where the pirates keep their secret hideout (as secret as you could still call it) is about two miles from the castle. I sortof dropped the ocean on them because otherwise there was no way we could've actually gotten involved in the war. In other words, the castle-to-ship distance is about the most accurate part of that map x'D If I add Brassport to it, I'll probably shove its buildings behind the forest in the upper right corner. But yes, it's more of a metaphorical representation than anything clear-cut.

So here's my persona, at last. Name: Marika Dusk
Age: 14
Nickname: Rika, Violet
Appearance: Short; not too skinny, not too plump. Chestnut brown hair that brush her shoulders when let down, usually tied by purple ribbons into pigtails. She has dark brown eyes that appear black at first. Goggles are perched upon her head, where they can be accessed easily. Marika wears a long sleeved purple shirt with the word 'Inventor Gal' hand-sewn on; the sleeves are usually rolled up. She wears black shorts, with a red skirt on top. She wears black leather boots, with her purple socks barely visible. A leather bag is slung over her shoulder, carrying all her tools and other necessities, and multiple sacks and a sheath are clipped to her belt.
Personality: Marika prefers to communicate through expressions and gestures rather than words; trying to talk to her is like playing a game of charades. She's harsh, almost always carrying around some form of weaponry and using it to threaten someone, often without words. She's apathetic whenever someone insults her directly, but insult her creations and she'll snap. Marika has a wonderfully creative mind and is quite observant, as she's learned that, if she looks closely at the world, she'll most likely gain inspiration to create. She'll usually jot any ideas down onto her notebook, as she hates to lose a seed of an idea that could blossom into something epic.
History: Marika grew up in a modest, small yet comfortable house near the outskirts of Brassport. She's the youngest of the Dusk children, but is the only one who still lives in their cozy little home; the others moved out a while ago to pursue their goals and reach their destinies. Marika was interested in science and inventing at a very young age (inspired by her old grandpa), which is the reason why she decided to continue living in the wonderful City of Brassport. Apprenticed by her deaf grandfather, she's used to communicating without words and even loves it, which is the reason why she barely speaks.
Weapon(s): Anything she can get her hands on; from metal rods, to sharp and hard stones, and even her own hands and feet. She also has a dagger in a sheath on her belt, but she's not very skilled in wielding it and tends to leave it alone because of this. She prefers non-weapons that can still leave someone smarting than real weapons that she never learned to properly use.
Abilities: Has an amazing hearing, able to pick up even the faintest of sounds. Can wield a bit of magic (as one of her ancestors was a mage), but she can barely will it to come out and she can only perform very, very simple spells.
Other: Has a pet rabbit named Dawn, who helps Marika with her inventions and even inspires her owner with her crazy antics.

[glow=red,2,300]I was supposed to post this ages ago. Subject to change, especially the bits concerning the Moth. >.>;[/glow] Name: Adeline Spencer
Age: 12
Appearance: Human, petite, with pale ivory skin and long blonde hair.
Outfit: She likes Gothic Lolita outfits, you know the deal. Petticoats, lace, ribbons, stockings. Wholly impractical for her line of work, but try telling her that. Yet no matter how many dresses she ruins, she never seems to run out...
History: The only child of a famous airship engineer, Cid Spencer. At the age of 3, she started showing an affinity for machines and water-magic. At the age of 7, she built her own working airship model. By the age of 12, she had designed and built the full-scale deal. It's called the Luna Moth, and it's her own vessel. One day, her father left on a routine delivery flight and while Adeline was watching him leave, he disappeared from the sky. Brassport had been teleported to the NTWF, and now Adeline will do anything to get home and see her father again.
Personality: Fairly demure. She tends to not let her emotions show, which in conjunction with her outfit, makes her seem like one of those spooky children you see in the movies. She has a very warm heart, but it is hard to earn her trust. She seems much older than her years and has this disconcerting stare that unsettles most adults. She has had to grow up quickly and be distrustful of others after her mother died when she was young. Still is a little spoiled and naive. She knows little about how the real world works.
Weapons: She has a hollow dagger-handle that contains a fair amount of water. Using magic, she can turn this water into a dagger with a sharp, icy edge. She is not one for combat, however.
Abilities: "Untrained Alchemy." Just say it, she's a witch. XD Can channel water, but needs a source of water nearby (can't pull it out of the air like Katara or anything). Can freeze water at will. (Useful for a steam engineer.) It's possible that she uses her powers to keep herself clean while working, though she has neither confirmed nor denied.
The Luna Moth: Is a zeppelin top strapped to a sailboat bottom with a bunch of bronze pipes coming out the tail that spit out steam when we want to go slow and fire when we need to put the pedal to the metal. The zeppelin portion is white (note a pattern with Rider and white ships) and has the words "Luna Moth" written in black paint. Needs a crew of at least 3 in order to sail, though 5 is optimal.

Famous Airship Engineer? You know, I'm surprised no one did a Cid until now

[glow=red,2,300]I adore all of the Cids. ^_^ Well, all of them except for the flamboyant Spaniard in XII, but even then, I like his accent. No one beats the Cid from X, though, not even the Cid from VII. *will get shot for saying that*[/glow]

And for some reason I can't remember X ;_;

Name: Ivsi
Nickname: Whatever you may come up with.
Appearance: 5'7'' and with a firm enough build. Has short auburn hair, hazel eyes, and fair skin sans freckles.
Clothing: Over a slightly ruffled off-white blouse with short sleeves, she wears a green dress with a darker band at the waist. There is also a thin rope tied around that for no particular reason. (It may be for the sake of “oh we need a rope” moments.) The skirt is rather long, so she has to bunch up part of it and grip that whenever she runs. She wears worn boots for shoes.
Personality: Ivsi can be difficult. She's sociable, but only selectively nice—she does not take kindly to anyone who whines frequently enough and often snaps at them. (She feels that she's justified in doing this.) Tends to play along with jokes or retaliate, fighting irony with irony and demeaning nicknames with demeaning nicknames. Usually quite dedicated to the tasks she's given and rarely, if ever, procrastinates. Has some amount of difficulty admitting to being wrong and tries to avoid any situations that would make her look like an idiot. Most of those who meet her find it surprising that she considers herself to be an idealist.
In wars, on the other hand, she seems to have no sense of pride or loyalty: She'll switch to whichever side suits her best. If provoked, she'll fight to the best of her ability (stab, stab, stabbing is her preference), though has some trouble actually killing: She prefers to fight “dirty” and attack from behind, since there's no horrified face to deter her.
Random and arguably pointless fact: She happens to have a low tolerance to headaches, too. Her biggest phobia is of being strangled, and thus overreacts whenever someone touches her neck.
Skills or abilities: She has a talent at identifying liars. Also has impressive balance and pretty fast, though the long skirt hinders her running so much that it's hard to tell.
Weapons/other combat enhancers: If there's a knife, she'll pick it up and stab away.
Other special abilities: None really; she's a blank slate for any magic.
Anything else we should know about you: While she is considerably smart—that is, she has good common sense, experience, and know-how, along with being able to recognize “liar signs” very well—she is by no means educated on sciences and maths. In fact, she usually tries to weasel her way out of doing anything remotely scientific or mathematical, because when she does make attempts, she comes out looking like an idiot. (For example, she does not realize that “squared” means “times itself” rather than “times four because a square has four sides”.)

Hey all, your friendly neighborhood ... yeah, no, that's overdone.
Anyways, it'd be awesome if you could all let me know the best way for me to contact you. I'm really out of touch with some of you, and that won't do for making sure this guild is moving in the direction that all of us want it to. So if you could just let me know how I can best get a hold of you, I'd love to have a conversation with each of you to make sure everything's on the same page with everyone's favorite new guild.
Any full-guild business you'd like to bring up can go right in this thread, or you can contact me about it and I'll bring it up anonymously if that's what you prefer.
