Oasis extended her claws, her body moving in short, jerky motions. "She seems to have gone through some sort of emotional trauma. Does she speak?" "Well...sort of...but it's like a faint whisper or murmur. Most of the time she just mews." Echo turned her head to Oasis and swooped her down into her arms. "S'okay, Osi...Well, we did fight her earlier..." admitted Echo, tickling the Aci's belly. [glow=red,2,300]((Yes, her color changed. ^_^))[/glow] "Interesting," the scientist said, withdrawing his hoof before the Aci could bite it. "Will she revert to her savagery? Or can she become a normal Warp-Aci? Keep looking after her. I'll be keeping tabs on you. I'm Dr. Dillamond, SAIA expert in the care of magical creatures. I look forward to seeing you again, Miss..." his Cubi powers brushed the surface of your mind. "Echo. Take care." |

The loudspeaker crackled to life, filling the halls and cafeteria with the voice of an elderly woman. "We apologize for the interruption. Will the Creatures who defeated the Warp'd-Aci kindly come to Fa'Lina's office? Thank you."

Melody raised her head.
"You wanted to talk to her? I guess now's your chance, Jude..."
She didn't exactly understand why he had said he wanted to defeat Dunord to "Protect Cubies" only, but she agreed that it was likely the best thing to do.

By this time Rel had wandered away from the others. Jumping at the loudspeaker message, she started walking off, before realizing that she had no idea where she was going. Sheepishly, she ran through the halls rather aimlessly until running into Melody. "Hey!" she said, though her tone was more startled than she would have had it. "Er... so we have to go to this... Fa'lina's office now," she said, feigning an air of indifference and trying hard not to act lost.

"I suppose I will get a chance to talk to her..." Jude said nervously. He led Melody & co. to the headmistress's office.
((I'm sick of waiting for you. GODMODE! Everyone's in the office.))
Fa'Lina's office is a cozy place. Mauve carpeting, a simple wooden desk, a pink armchair... almost too normal to be the office of a Succubus headmistress.
"In case you're wondering," she said, as if reading your minds, "I keep all of the dangerous stuff in the closet."
Jude, who was standing closest to the closet door, inched away nervously.
"You're wondering why I called you here. I'll get straight to the point. We need to learn more about the Warp'd-Aci. Where do they come from? Why have they come? Why have they never attacked outside a ten-mile radius of this school?"
Jude flinched. "You mean... we're the only ones who..."
"Yes. The leading scientists of the world teach at this school, and I have every one of them studying the bizarre phenomenon. They think that the trouble here is linked to the political tensions in the Northlands."

Melody walked next to Jude, looking at his face, smilling. Usually, when people were not feeling well, she started holding their hands, but her mother and sister had strongly discouraged her from doing it where she was. Her father, well... He had simply melted at the thought of his oldest girl getting a "boooyyyyyyfrrriiieeeennnnnddddd", whatever that meant.
"But.. My dad is a scientist himself, and he told me that apparently, this school is kinda... Separeted from the rest of the world... By a magical wall or something..." She scratched her head, trying to remember, such things confused her. "What happen in the North is mainly by beings.. And they can't use magic, so... How can it affect us? Without magic, it shouldn't cross that barrier, right?"

"That's the curious thing," Fa'Lina said. "Beings shouldn't be able to summon, control or have anything to do with Warp-Aci. I haven't entirely dismissed the possibility of a traitor working among their ranks. But...
"Maybe the Beings have found a way to deal with Warp-Aci. I don't know. It feels like the laws of the universe are shifting beneath us."
