{Umph, sorry I haven't posted recently. I had an end-of-the-season basketball tournament for school. } The lupe's baggy eyes widened slightly, then he sniggered, trying to shrug off what he just visualized in his mind. His laugh was broken, like someone had injured his throat and he could no longer laugh properly, nor, as Shazvar could tell, spoke properly. His voice was extremely ragged, just like the Victorian shawls and robes around him. If this Lupe made himself look gray anybody could believe he was. The Lupe coughed, then merely answered, "The first one was a younglin. About two or three years younger than you, if I'm correct. I can't exactly remember the young one's age, probably twelve, but he should've never gotten here. He just got started into this journey and came here, to the first make-shift inn, and somehow dodged a chance at meeting a monster. Stupid fool thought this place was all fun-and-games, like nobody could really get hurt here. I should've made him go back..." Shazvar suddenly gulped, realizing he might've acted a little like this first customer before, except for the fact that he recognized there would be creatures here. "I don't know where he went off to, honestly. But as he went sprinting hurriedly like some estatic kid, I figured he would die soon. There's hordes of creatures father into The Corridors, and then the--" He ended his sentence hesitantly, not wanted to force out the name. "It's not important. The kid's sure loss is a bad tradegy already." Although completely stumped and confused about the unspeakable creature, Shazvar asked, "The Corridors? Are there different areas in the Ski Lodge?" The Lupe nodded slowly, his voice still rasp as he crossed his arms tightly over his chest. "The Corridors is the first area. After a ways down this hall-like area, you'll be in the Kitchens, which, honestly, is an extremely large portion of the Lodge, even though it doesn't seem like it. From there, you have Snowflake's Secret Rooms, uh...Survelliance Rooms, Dormitories, Tower System, Sub-Courtyard, South Courtyard, North Courtyard, and the Tent. Something like that, I believe." Shazvar scratched his head, and he glimpsed at his sheathed sword confusedly. "Alright, you look beat up, so let's give you some rest. Have a friend with you?" The Lupe asked, glancing around Shazvar. Shazvar did the same, looking about him.

She whirls on Shavzar completely ignoring the creepy Lupe. "What do you think your doing, you can't just drag me around like a puppet, I am a delicate lotus blossum, whose stem is a glass reflecting all the hues of the rainbow, and some the rainbow should even consider adopting. That was said by the Mystery Island poet, Jhung Quin, a Techo." She looks at the lupe then her cheeks flushed and rosy. "My good sir, may I ask your name?" And gives a small curtsey, a complete transplants of personalities in ten seconds flat.

Shazvar was completely stunned, decked with beady eyes and looking rather small as Ceste floated over to the Lupe like a little Valentines Jhudora.
"Scapes is my name. Scape N. Hallin," The Lupe introduced himself. He returned a bow to the curtsey, but it dripped with a purposefully, good-natured way in order to almost make Shazvar jealous. The Bori scratched his chin blankly as he watched, dumbfounded.
Scapes cleared his throat, and he rushed over to brush the dust off of some beds and a clean everything up in a split ten seconds. When he was done, he rushed back over to Ceste. "This is a make-shift inn," He retold the Royal. "I'm sure you would like to sleep in it, even though it's not exactly what you're accostumed to."

"An inn, in the middle of the Haunted woods?" She raised an eyebrow good naturedly all the same. "It does look quaint, but excuse my reluctence, I've led I difficult life and I'm never sure who to trust." She gives an accusatory glance over to Shazvar purposefully as if dragging her across the Lodge was the biggest sin since she last broke a nail.

He sweat dropped and hurriedly rushed over. The princess was starting to take a bit of control over him. "Oh come on, Ceste, I need a bit of rest. I've still got a bit of low health and heaving this sword around isn't very easy," He tried to persuade her, but he knew he wouldn't be successful. "Oh come on, Scrapes. Assure her this place is safe." "Don't worry, my fair lady," The Lupe answered politely. "Nothing can enter this inn, and I certainly won't do anything to either of you. Just enjoy yourself. The inn is free as well, and when you get nearer to the others, it shall cost."

Good luck you. The old NQ negative 1 is being adopted by me and changed into something else. This time, I'm not joining this one. I'm working on something important else.

((Right. I'm very tired, any mistakes I blame on the Temple of Vesta architecture projects and finals. ;P.) {Temple of Vesta? Oh well, this roleplay's about to die. Time to make it a little exciting.} "You know, nevermind, Scrapes. Can I ask you one question, though?" Scrapes nodded happily and adjusted his haggard robes. "Sure, fellar," He answered. "But, if you're not staying at my inn, it'll cost you money. At least, if it's important." Shazvar narrowed his eyes with a hard look in his eyes, then untied the sack from his side and handled it carefully. "Do you know how the avalanche started?" The question was so incredibly direct that Shaz was astounded with how he came out with it. Plus the question was normally something that nobody really knew, so why say it? To Shazvar's astonishment, Scrapes actually thought he knew the answer, "Simple. It was a skiier." "A skiier?" There was a silence that reeked the air, as if the answer were so obvious to Scrapes, but it just didn't seem that simple. "How? That just couldn't be all!" "Aye, but it is." Another moment of silence. "Well, Ceste and I are continuing on our journey, thanks!" And in an instant, Shazvar snatched Ceste's ginger hand and shot off out of the room down the hall as fast as he could. Scrapes peered his head around the doorway, watching as the two went running off. "Hey, I said it would cost money!" He hollered, shaking a fist with his hoarse voice.

"You know Shavzar if I get callousses in hands from all of your pulling around I'm going to back you soak my hand in tigersquash oil to get rid of them," Ceste said pointedly, with a wink. Stay positive, was her current mantra, she already had one blow up she couldn't afford another one, she needed to win the warriors trust. "A skieer eh." She shrugged, it's kind of dark in here.
She went on her tiptoes and waved her wand in a complex pentacle, and a small light sprung from her wand lighting the way, for a while.

Shazvar released his grip from Ceste's hand and drew out his long, thick medieval sword. Ceste's light, which was held aloft to the ceiling, illuminated the area for many yards. Shazvar continued through the darkness, treking through the assorment of darkened rooms. There were several bookshelves about a tiny area lighted only slightly by two windows. Shazvar searched through books and little trikents that were left behind.
He grasped one particular book by its binding to find it was an archer's book. There was also a couple of others that served as journals, although the handwriting was too fadded to read. While searching through trinkets, however, the Bori found that there were other things more useful.
The party gains two Healing Potions. The party gains one Gas Bomb. The party gains one skeleton key.
Although you find only one key, there is an outline in the dust of another key that used to be there and that was obviously taken. You keep this in mind while examining your own key.
Shazvar tucked the skeleton key and potions away in his sack and brought his sword to his side, but kept the gas bomb in his hands. Perfect. Without a second thought, Shazvar walked over to one of the easier walls and hurled the object as far as it could go. He was much too far into the Ski Lodge for Velo to see him, but the gas bomb would hopefully do the trick.
The Gas Bomb detonates, spraying a large cloud of seagreen gas and dust about at the end of the hall. The rather small explosion also causes a slight gash in the floorboard at the very far end of the area, and it blocks off you from the others, although it may be easily crossed.

Mirre watched the Usul leave, her eyes narrowed. She still didn't trust him; he had the walk of a thief, never mind the fact that he'd tried to steal that book. Her paws quiet on the floorboards, she stepped over to the end of the hall and peered in both directions to see which way he'd gone. A loud explosion jarred her thoughts. The Kougra jerked upright, and shook her head after a moment to clear it. "What in Fyora's name was that?" she wondered aloud.

Takhluk entered the hallway, wondering which room would he search first. Maybe the room on the left, or the right or maybe the one down the hall. Yeah, the one down the hall seems like a good choice. He started walking in that direction when he heard a loud explosion.
*BOOOM!*
"What the he-" he began to say.
