Kaythar's moon attack hit it directly on the spot, and a throwing stars attack from Surdith followed. The witch stumbled back and disappeared in a flash of purple light.
'I think there must be more of them,' said Surdith. 'They're just regular monsters brought from the meteor,'

Kaythar got his Moon Charm ready, but stayed where he was, in defensive stance.

"Okay, so you guys made it night again," muttered Reina, hacking at the evil creature with her Sun Dagger.
((Okay, since I'm not exactly pure Sun, that means I can still attack well at night?))

Junkyard looked up at the night sky. Her felt for his Sun Orb, in his pocket, and he took it out. Once again, it was not glowing or floating, so there was no use for him.

"Okay, so you guys made it night again," muttered Reina, hacking at the evil creature with her Sun Dagger. ((Okay, since I'm not exactly pure Sun, that means I can still attack well at night?)) Yep it does. Suddenly, a great wind began to pick up, and no less than a dozen meteors fell crashing into the town. Out of the crators crawled hordes of purple witch creatures that began to tear at the town. The strong-looking people ran out of the buildings screaming into the night. 'This ain't good,' said Surdth. 'We might as well leave unless you want to try and fend them off?'

Reina shrugged. "It's what we do," she said, shrugging. "Clean up after evil denizens that rise up out of nowhere."

'Well then,' Surdith said, turning to Reina. 'If you really want to, we can split up our group and everyone can purge one area of the town.'
Surdith took a corner furtherst away from where they had came. Many of the mutants came, but he threw his stars at him, and as they glowed they took down the witches with only a couple of hits.

Kaythar sighed. "Fools," he muttered again, but decided to fight off the witches anyway.

Reina nodded, and took the opposite direction from Surdith's path. Watching the looming terror draw closer, she took out her Sun Dagger and slashed at a few, watching them keel over with satisfaction. However, as one blasted her backward, she staggered and countered with a larger, more fiery blast that charred most of her opponents.
"That hurt," she muttered angrily, kicking at one of the creatures. "Be careful, guys! These things can really pack a punch."

Oh yeah, like you really needed to tell us that, thought Kaythar, but he said nothing. He didn't go along with Surdith's little plan; he instead fired a Moon Blast at any witches who came toward him, without actually going anywhere (save for the occasional dodge, but that barely counts).

'There's no point of fighting them any longer!' shouted Surdith to the others. 'There're too many! Run!'
Not checking to see if they actually followed, he ran from the burning, flaming wreckage towards a gigantic tower far off in the distance that you could barely see from all the smoke.

Kaythar considered all possibilities. He could stay and continue fighting, but that would be almost suicidal, so he dropped that possiblity. He could follow Surdith, or go away on his own path. He was never quite sure why he had even joined this group in the first place, and the recent addition of Junkyard just made it worse.
Then he decided to stay with the group just a little longer, so that he had protection. Even as he ran after Surdith, he thought about how often he had decided to stay with the group "Just a little longer", but never ended up leaving. What was causing him to stay? Even running, these thoughts nagged at him.

"Sheesh, fine," grumbled Reina, following Surdith.

They had reached the shadow of the tower before Surdith plopped down on the ground and saw his other teammates not too far behind. (he couldn't count how many, (but remember Clayri is under my control until Zyleaa gets back *evil laugh*))
'We should be safe now,' he said to the distant fog that surrounded the Witch's Tower. 'They won't dare stray at day.'
