"You're drawing attention to yourself," said Kaythar quietly. "But fine, let's get going, I guess." He finished his food and got ready to leave.

Junkyard got up and stretched his legs a bit. He then glanced over at Mrs. Fuberworth and shiver went down his spine. Something didn't feel right about her. Junkyard just shrugged it off. She was obviously just a lady who's husband and daughter have been captured.

It was high noon when they were halfway across the Clokend Mountain Ring. Mrs. Furberworth was a big complainer: she whined about anything and everything. When Surdith told her that we were going directly to Thetra Town, she panicked, and said that she had to go to Spring Meadows first. 'Just to pick up a little delivery, darling,' when questioned, and she said no more. When they finally reached the outskirts of Spring Meadows at sunset (don't worry, faster methods of travel will come eventually if you can think of any ) there was a rustling from the lush trees above them. 'What was that?' said Surdith, his ears picking up some kind of noise. He looked up to see the sky full of the stars he had made the last night, and they were providing enough light for him to see that the leaves on the trees were moving. He stopped the others and took out his Cosmic Throwing Stars. He threw them at the rustling areas of the trees. The rustling, however, grew louder so that the others could hear it, and right before their eyes sprang a red, strange creature. Name: Devilpuss Level: 1 Species: Monster/Cat Weapons: (none) Armour: (none) Information: The Angelpuss inhabits the surrounding area of Spring Meadows, but this creature seems to have been... evilfied... And there weren't just one: the rustling in the trees above them became loud and extravagant, as if a high wind were blowing, and no less than a dozen of them sprang from the trees. 'Oh, snap,' said Surdith, taking out his throwing stars. 'What've I gotten us into this time?...'

Kaythar quickly got his Moon Charm and reflected light off the moon into an attack. He directed it toward the nearest Devilpuss.

Surdith watched as the Moon Charm's attack hit the Devilpuss. It exploded in a shadowy light, and all that was left of it was a blood-red feather among the leaves that littered the ground. He bent down and picked it up; it was sparkling slightly. He pocketed it just as a Devilpuss jumped up and prepared to pounce on him, but he threwh is Cosmic Throwing Stars at it, and they bounced off the Devilpuss to three more before coming back to him. All of them stood motionless in the air until they exploded, also, in a shadowy light.
Surdith looked down at his Cosmic Throwing Stars: they were glowing.
'Cast light on them!' Surdith yelled to the others, preparing to throw more stars.

The slightest hint of a smile showed on Kaythar's face. "So, you fiends don't like the moonlight, eh?" he said softly. He directed another moonlight attack to another devilpuss.

"Right, that's so easy to do when you've only got a slingshot and a few rocks!" exclaimed Lysander, shooting rocks at the monsters.

Finally, all 12 of the Devilpuss had fallen, and the ground was littered with their feathers. 'We might be able to trade for them later,' said Surdith, picking them all up and stuffing them inside his pocket (they're not that big sooo ) They trudged on into town, and Mrs. Furberworth left them to enter a tavern. When she came back, she was carrying a strange, square package. 'What's in there?' asked Surdith curiously, but the next moment, she had ran off. They tried to give chase but couldn't, because the night was too dark. (the town is like a forest and the canopy blocks most of the light except sunlight) 'We might as well continue on to Thetra Town,' said Clayri. (yes, I get to control her character since Zlyaa's gone away *evil laugh) 'We have nothing better to do, and we could use the training.'

"Indeed," said Kaythar. "But keep your eye out. I suspect that the woman was working for the bandits, and was preparing to lead us into a trap."

"A trap?" Reina slapped her forehead with the heel of her right hand. "Look, we didn't come all this way to get trapped like some poor little mice."
But just as she had said that, a small scuffling interrupted the troupe. It grew louder, and the girl kept silent as she heard the sounds get closer.

Kaythar listened attentively, his hand idly straying towards his Moon Charm.

Surdith pulled out his Cosmic Throwing Stars and held them up to the sky. Absorbing the starlight that it could sense from above the treetops, the stars began to glow, lighting up the dim street.
The road, which had appeared to be strange green grass, was moving when they were standing upon it! It was like a conveyor belt, and Surdith twirled around to see where it went.
He gasped at the sight. It went over into a pit with hordes and hordes of Devilpuss!
'Now, my sweets,' said a cackling voice from above, and they turned to look up. Mrs. Furberworth was floating in mid-air; her hair was standing on end and tinged with purple at the ends and her hands were glowing green. 'You will fall before my sorcery!'
And they couldn't do anything as Surdith's pocket ripped and the red feathers fell on to the conveyor belt, which was slowly moving them towards their doom...

Kaythar insinctively got his Moon Charm at the Ready. He managed to reflect some small amount of moonlight that barely showed through the canopy, and directed a weak attack at "Mrs. Furberworth".

"TASTE OUR WRATH, YOU EVIL HAG!" yelled Reina, wielding her Sun Dagger and summoning a large blast of fire towards her. She turned briefly to Kaythar and Surdith. "You two better stand back, because I'm going to try a larger strike."

Kaythar stepped back, but still kept his eyes on their opponent, and kept his Moon Charm ready.l
