((Pretty simple rules. Be creative, and RP as your neopet(s). Prefferably only minor involvement from the owners.))
A darigan lupe was visiting old maraqua. A faerie's blessing allowed him to breath beneath the waves. He wore his two iron lupe sords on a belt at his sides. A lupe moon charm hung from his neck, and a demonic bow was on his back.
He missed the once beautiful city. He remembered standing in one of the air filled domes and watching Chiazilla in amazement. And the battle between chiazilla and mechazilla. Chiazilla had wan. What a show it had been! It had been a terrifying show, but it had been exciting none the less. He'd been a young yellow pup still back then. He hadn't even been able to help in the tyrannian war not long before then when he had fought two battles, and lost. He stayed hidden after that, trying to keep safe.
How much everything had changed since then. He was now a loyal soldier of the Citadel. He was older and had been turned Darigan by the lab ray, wich he was done with. He'd fought many battles and rarely hid. He shut his eyes and remembered his last war in the icy mountains of the north. The icy skeletons had been chilling, no pun intended, and The Bringer had nearly destroyed them all. He let the sounds of swords ring through his head. When he opened his eyes again he could still hear the sounds of war. But something was out of place. Cannons? There had been no cannons in terror mountain.
He whirled around in the direction of the sound, but he saw no war. What he saw was a large, brownish green, slimy body. It had two arms, a tail, and a large shell. And it was not happy to have him there.

(Hey, you stole my idea! Well, I was reconsidering making a Maraqua RP cause I thought that no one would join, but since someone else is making one it seems pretty logical to join.)
"CHUG! CHUG! CHUG! CHUG!" The chant swallowed up all other sound in the celler on the Revenge.
Two Neopets, a fat Skeith and a skinny Shoryu, were having a drinking contest, and everyone in the celler was cheering, chanting, and overall enjoying it. All except one. He was a blue lupe, with a bandana and a sword sheathed at his side. His name was Kohla.
The Skeith suddenly fell over, knocked out. He had had as much as he could handle. Excited, the pirates started trading in dubloons that they had betted on. Kohla shook his head dissaprovingly and walked up onto the deck.
It was a cold night as Kohla looked out onto the ocean. He was a good pet at heart. Why did he always put his allegiance into the less... agreeable factions? He realized that it was the urge to be on the winning side. It didn't seem as though Galem's thieves had any opposition, and their pay was well. But they still lost, and even though Kanrik had put them back together again, Kohla didn't trust their strength.
Scarblades pirates had an even better pay than Galem's thieves, plus it seemed that their chances were high, especially since Maraqua was already down. The pirates had beaton them before, Kohla figured they could do the same again. Besides, Kohla doubted he would be sent into battle; he was just a supporter. He supplied some of the weapons, potions, and even the occasional codestone that the pirates needed. The tricky part was getting these items. He sighed.
Looking around, he noticed that every crew member seemed to be down in the celler where the drinking game was taking place. Only those who were needed to sail the ship and Scarblade himself weren't down there. The more he thought, the more Kohla had the feeling that he was on the wrong side.

((Hey there. I'm Keng's sister. She invited me to join))
Terse Heart, a blue uni who had pledge her allegiance to the Citadel, just as the darigan lupe had done, was scanning mystery island's beach for seashells. She'd been looking for hours and had built up quite the collection. She looked out to sea and decided maybe she would get a bigger collection from the water. But not this close close to shore. The best stuff might be further out. So she went to a nearby local diving shop to pick up some equipment for her search. She would need something to help her breathe underwater.
She left equipped and flew out over the waves. She sees as nice coral reef where she might find some pretty shells. Terse went into the water, but something was wrong. There was a strong ocean current. It was to fast for her to fight. The rolling waves covered her head and forced her down and she could not fight her way back up. No matter how she tried the current just pulled her further out to sea.

This giant slugawoo type creature always has the same greeting to everyone and everything he meets. It goes something to the effect of,
GO AWAY!
Now, ealier it was said that this lupe rarely hides anymore. I'd like to rephrase that statement at this time. He rarely runs away from or hides from something he stands a half chance of surving anymore. His current situation does not qualify as something he stands half a chance of surviving. So, he swam for it.
But he wasn't a very fast swimmer, and apparently the slug fellow was having a very bad day. The lupe had come across him once before on a diffrent visit to the ruins and that time the slug had simply let him leave. This time the slug fellow was in hot pursuit, and gaining. He had to think fast, there wasn't a lot of space left between them. Soon only a few feet were left between them, then the lupe disapeered.
The lupe had used the ability Sink and dipped down beneath the slugs line of vision. He had sometime before the slug fellow would think of looking down. He used these few seconds to dart into the remenants of an old dome shop and hid there. The slug fellow looked around. Then appeared to be satisfied that the tresspasser had left, and went back into the inner parts of the ruined city.

While Kohla was looking out at the moonlight, one Mynci pirate ran up to him. "Kohla," he panted. "Fin* just got hurt in a barfight. It's not that pretty. See if you can get us a healing potion."
"Just use one of the potions in the supply closet," said Kohla.
"No!" said the Mynci. "The Capn' demands that exactly 25 potions are used for the battle only. If we use this one now, we'll be down to 24. Either get us one to help Fin or get a replacement for one we take outta the closet. Either way, just get us a potion!"
Kohla sighed. "Alright, alright," he said. "I'll get you you're potion. Someone get me a rowboat; I'm going to Scurvey Island. It's closest."
*One of my pets is a Jetsam named Finhead, but since that sounded dumb, I changed it to Fin here.

Heart peeked over the crowd of pirates gathering around in a big mass where an event was taking place. All the pirates seemed to be here, packed as best as they could in the cellars. Heart wrinkled his nose at the awful stench of salty sea, sweat, and ale. Was he the only one who had somehow managed his hygiene a little bit?
The mutant scorchio laugh at himself, only his laugh was muffled quickly by the huge racket. Every pirate seemed to have their spare gold coins ready to bet as the next challenger, a pirate krawk, sat in front of the shoyru. Some pirates were even breaking out in fights because they had different choices. In fact, Heart almost got caught in one when he shouted, "All right, matey! Go Blackie (the shoyru), you can beat that scum!"
Pantherz (my kougra) was the one who shot his head over to his brother, eying him. "I'd watch yourself, Heart. Kraspin could knock anybody out, and so could I," He retorted with a warning to his tone.
Heart had ignored it mostly. His brother was always like that: tough, arrogant, deadly. He was extremely strong, and yet sometimes he could see the most tactical moves like the red kougra he is. Heart was just an average warrior...he thought.
He noticed Kohla go out on deck. The guy is so strange, He thought. But somehow Heart had taken a liking to him lately and wanted to be a buddy of his. Although every time he wanted to get to know Kohla, he seemed to walk away. Why? It probably wasn't personal, but the guy keep leaving when all the pirates gathered.
Heart started shoving and pushing his way through the thick crowd, but suddenly he walked past the bar just as a fight was breaking out, and he surprisingly was socked by a drunk jetsam mistaking him for his opponent: a shadow draik. But the blow was incredibly strong to his head, and he was knocked to the wood floors immediately.
His vision was extremely blurry and he felt lightheaded and dizzy. He felt his spiny head and found a giant bruise and deep cut. They didn't call him Bony the Fightin' Jetsam for nothing.
{Heart is actually a girl and is actually called Sweet_Heart, but I switched things up a little. Also, I was inactive for a long time on neopets so I missed the chance to join a side, although I was going to join the pirates.}

Looking around where he had hidden, the lupe had a bolt of sudden realization. He was in the old utility fish shop. He recognized some broken squid pens and whale chairs that hadn't been picked up by scavengers. Maybe the toy repair bori could fix them? So he picked up a few of his old favourites, wich were incredibly broken, then swam out of the beaten dome.
It was darker now. He could only assume the sun had set. But that was ok. The red eyes of a darigan lupe seemed to help brighten things up,... while making things appear somewhat rosy. He wondered how long he'd been down here. It couldn't of been much longer than a half hour, could it? Ah, well, he'd better be returning to the surface now. So he began his swim uppwards.

The strong ocean current finally weekend allowing Terse to escape, but the sun had set leaving her with no sense of direction. (She stunk at reading stars). She was very cold and scared of the stories that she had heard on Mystery Island about sailors and divers like her. Not knowing were she was, but hoping that Old Maraqua would be nearby, as it had been in the tales. She dived down and hopped she would find some remains of the old city.
Maybe there will be someone there to help me. she thought optimistically. Other than that sluggish thing that always yells “Go away!”

Kohla got a rowboat, which he began to row out to sea. It was a few miles to Scurvey Island; he should be able to make it back by dawn, assuming he wouldn't get delayed.

As he continued his was up, he noticed a silouhette of another neo, well, he coloudn't be sure that it was another neopet, but it was another something. And this other something was headed twards the rubble of Old Maraqua. But there was another shadow behind him. Most likely some sort of boat. A small boat. Maybe he would be able to get a lift back to shore? It was worth a shot. Whatever that something was, it would probably be fine. Of course, the slug was in a bad mood today, and whoever it was might like to know. So he called out a greeting. Of course this came out as:
"Hehbrrrrwwwwwbbbrrrllrrbrrrrooo!" because he was under water, and yelling didn't seem to work very well underwater for a land creature.

There was a small school of mixed Baby Blues, Pepitos, Frillabons, and Bowlas that were intermingling with one another near a low coral reef. It was easy to tell from all angles that none of them were expecting an attack from any side, and that they were all perfectly oblivious to the goings-on around them. A small stream of bubbles rose up from where they congregated, heading up towards the surface.
It was no surprise that they panicked when Aureyen disrupted their merry little meeting.
The squid-like Mutant Jetsam let out a roar before charging through, snatching up unsuspecting aquatic petpets in his uninviting jaws. Most of them fled in absolute terror, zipping off faster than a racing Poogle. The less fortunate ones were either swept up into Aureyen's mouth, or tumbled downwards in the sudden gush of water.
"Good dinner," Aureyen murmured, lazily ascending to the surface of the water, his stomach tight with food. As he floated, he stared up at the starlit sky and smiled to himself.
It was then that he realized that, not too far off, was a pirate ship. The Revenge, to be precise.
Aureyen stared at it, terrified thoughts running through his mind. The Revenge?! The dreaded ship commanded by Captain Scarblade himself? The ship that could travel underwater? The ship that had triggered Old Maraqua's tragic demise?
As he gathered himself, the terror left Aureyen. It was replaced by smugness. They were undoubtedly going for Maraqua, and he would do anything and everything to stop them.
He shot forward, his scarlet fin slicing through the water, ready to attack any pirate stupid enough to fall overboard.

Kohla looked down and saw a dim shape underwater. He quickly dipped his head under the water to see a Darigan Lupe. Kohla quickly motioned for the Lupe to come aboard his rowboat, then lifted his head from the water, taking a lungful of air.

Aureyen looked up, his yellow eyes falling on a rowboat. Apparently someone was in it... Who it was, Aureyen could not tell, but if they were in a rowboat, more likely than not they were a pirate. One of Scarblade's mindless minions, no doubt. He could feel anger rise up with him.
Wordlessly he charged at the rowboat, water surging around him as he gained momentum.

Kohla now turned to see something new charging at the boat. He drew his sword and waited for it to reach him.

The lupe saw the gesture and began his swim, not seeing the other charging figure. His head broke the surface of the water emmidiately next to the boat. He was somewhat surpirised to see the other lupe's swords drawn. "Why in Neopia do you have your swords out? I'm not going to attack you." he asked confusedly, tredding water.
