(I don't really look at the forum events board, by the way... You should've said you were gone for a week on here. Oh, and if you think that a couple of pages is alot to read, you should hear about how I read 57 pages of an RP just to join it.)

As Ren waited in the hanger, one of the A-wing guns suddenly fired. Then fired again, and again...
"OH [censored]! WEAPONS MALFUNCTION! Not again..." cried Aliam as she desperately tried to turn it off. Her wepon circuits had taken damage in the last imperial encounter, and had never quite been the same since. She had taken it in for repairs, 10 times, already. But she at this point wasn't even sure they had done anything at all in the repair shop. "R22 try to turn it off! QUICK!" she called. Above the yellow painted astro droid began poking at wires and computer chips. Finally the guns were turned off. "Fewph.."

As the A-Wing guns fired, many rebels, including Ren, panicked and ducked for cover. Ren even heard one rebel shout "We're under attack! Imperials are attacking Echo Base!" However, when the fire was cut off, and the rebels saw that it was just a malfunction, they calmed down a bit.
Ren recognized the A-Wing pilot as Aliam. "You outta be more careful with your weapons!" he shouted.

However, when the fire was cut off, and the rebels saw that it was just a malfunction, they calmed down a bit. Ren recognized the A-Wing pilot as Aliam. "You outta be more careful with your weapons!" he shouted. (( ;D That was great! Sorry I wasn't on, my brother came home for the first half of his spring break, and he brought his computer. The computer that always gets a new game or expansion pack between visits. And this time he had Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. We played it literally all day, and I almost beat it. He did.)) "Be careful!" Somebody from Rogue Squadron cried at Aliam. Poalie looked over at them, partly with respect, partly with jealousy. After all, he was the best TIE Pilot-well, the best male TIE Pilot-and even after becoming a member of the New Republic he wasn't allowed to join these elite pilots. As he looked at Rogue Squadron, he saw a familiar face. "Kason? Kason Moore?" He asked, walking over to her. "Poalie!" She said in astonishment. "Well, what do you know? The two best TIE Interceptor Pilots on the opposite side together." Kason seemed a little hurt by the mention of the "opposite side", but she smiled back, "Yeah...ironic. You want to join the squadron here for a-" Paolie cut her off."Uh, no I can't. I'm leaving like right now to go to Tatooine on a special assignment. Good to see you again." "Same here." Kason replied before Paolie turned and walked back to his T-Wing. |

"It's not my fault the guns went off!" argued Aliam to the officer.
"Well then who's fault was it then? You're the only one in that cockpit."
"The circuits malfunctioned again and those plasted mechanics here haven't done anything about it. I tried fixing it myself but the chips are wire were melted so I took the ship in to be replaced, and they still haven't done anything!"
"That's why you're supposed to routinely check on you equipment before using it."
"That's what I was just doing! But they went off anyway!"
"Alright fine, just get those circuits replaced."
"Tell that to the mechanics here."
The officer waled away, not hearing her last coment and Aliam desended from the cockpit. "See if you can do anything with those chips while you're up there R22."
She then went beneath the ship and began checking on all the wiring, circuits and hull integrity down there, while mumbling about lazy mechanics.

The older astromech complained that Poalie hadn't done a thing yet for prepping the landing cycle, but he ignored him, walking up to Aliam. "Need a little help? I've torn these things apart before, I know them like the back of my hand." He says, gesturing to the A-Wing and trying not to sound cocky. |

"Only thing I need are a few new weapon control circuits." came her muffled and echoing voice from inside an opening on the a-wing's bottom where she was cleaning some gears. ((But... astro droids have been around for, what, at least 40 years. And there is an astrodroind in almost every rebel ship from what I've seen, so there must be more than 6 o.0 even if they haven't been mentioned before. Heck. There were at least 4 astro droids in episode one, and 3 of them got blasted.)) |
