Why was she so helpful? He didn't trust her an inch. Anistawn it would have to be, anyway, considering he had very little money - the purse he had brought with him from Anistawn being all, and the princess would not get much for those once-fine clothes in their current condition, no matter the material. Raynaer began walking, signalling for the princess to follow. First thing they had to do was get a room at an inn before they could even think about finding a ship. They had to be aboard by tonight - by tomorrow the princess would be found if she was a mile under bedrock being on a patch of dirt like this in the middle of nowhere. But still, the first stop was a tailors, and then probably a room - or at worst an alleyway - where the princess could change. Raynaer was in simple, albeit muddy clothes, that would go utterly unnoticed. What wouldn't be unnoticed was the princess's face: no matter how much mud he slather on their, any cutpurse would try to bend over backwards from a rooftop and grab Yu Jie with his left hand to get at her. A cowl would have to suffice. He sighed. At this rate, he might need to be a cutpurse soon as well. |

((Eh, I know it sounds a bit fake. ^^; But he did tell her to count her blessings, and she's being compliant because he could just change his mind anytime. Or maybe I'm just searching for an excuse for a mistake. Whatever. BTW, Chris, this is when your character gets sent back to the mortal realms, which means I can't really write anything about it, because that would be powerplaying.))

The arrow did pierce the layer of scales on the Llyan's body, but barely. It simply bit the arrow and tore it off, seemingly not minding the line of crimson blood that leaked from the wound. It glared at Thaine with green, slit-pupiled eyes, then started attacking him.
((This is where I planned you would 'die', BTW. It doesn't have to be there, though, if you don't want it to be.))

Yu Jie stood, waiting for Raynaer to make a decision.
((BTW, sorry if I take some time before replying. I've been quite busy lately, and I don't expect it to end anytime soon.))

Chris jolts awake and sits up. Ice is towering over him looking concerened. "I'm fine... Look we need to go back to Dragonhood." He looked outside and it was dawn, Ice nodded.

Thaine leaped off his horse, and watched as the horse was killed by the Llyan. Thaine blew his horn, and, hearing the sound, his other archers started to rush down the steps into the cortyard.
Meanwhile, Thaine began to desparately fight the Llyan with his sword, though it wasn't terribly effective. His archers rushed onto the scene and began to fight also. However, one of his archers was killed by the beast.
Thaine continued to fight bitterly until he was finally knocked down by the Llyan. The beast bit into him and used its teeth to throw him at a tree. He hit the tree and fell to the ground. His vision became black.
Soon, light became visible to his eyes through the darkness. He started to see dim shapes in the light. "Am I dead?" he asked weakly.
