((Yep! Hopefully this one won't die in two days. --; There are no rules, 'cept for no powerplaying or godmodding. Profiles aren't mandatory, but if you don't give a profile, try to include a description of your charry in your first post(ie, don't go 'Johnny walked into the city and yawned', add a bit of a physical and psychological description).
The setting is a world with no name yet(heh, ^^; ). It's composed of three kingdoms: Cailean, Sakuya and Anistawn. I'll draw a map later on, but for now you'll have to do with descriptions of each kingdom and the stuffs in it:
Cailean:
Cailean(pronounced CAY-lee-in) is governed by King Emlyn and Queen Severin. Emlyn and Severin don't have any kids, so there are no princes or princesses. It is the land to the south of Anistawn and to the east of Sakuya. It's one of the most sourthern kingdoms, so it's quite warm there. Inhabitants of Cailean are called Cailes(KAY-lees).
The most important city in Cailean is Orville. It is famous for it's Main Street, where armories, tailors, grocers and various shops are situated.
Sakuya:
Sakuya’s(pronounced Sa-KOO-yah) king is named Thu, while the Sakuyan queen is named Kishi. Their only daughter, Yu Jie, is the heir to the throne and incredibly beautiful. Many Sakuyan men are courting her, mostly to try and become the next Sakuyan king, but also because of Yu’s beauty. Sakuya is an island in the Akasanii sea and the smallest out of the three kingdoms. It is located to the south of Anistawn and to the west of Cailean. Sakuya has a warm, humid climate.
There isn’t really a specific city to see in Sakuya, except for the capital, Menefer, where the Royal Palace is located.
Anistawn:
Anistawn(Ah-ni-STOHN) is the kingdom to the north of Cailean and Sakuya. It is also the biggest of all three, though only half of it is inhabited, because the northern half is too cold and icy to accommodate people. Anistawn’s rulers are King Dasani and Queen Rhoslyn; 17-year-old Prince Zaccheus is heir to the throne and he has three brothers and two sisters: Ambrose, Eros, Hiero, Amarante, and Kaida.
There are a few important fiefdoms and cities in Anistawn:
DragonHood: Baron Cyrus, the owner of Fief DragonHood, also owns a very important business called the ‘DragonHood Deliveries’. He pays about 50 dragonriders, including his own son, Henes, to deliver packages to other realms and rulers. More than three quarters of the DragonHood land is taken up by practice grounds, offices, and dragon stables.
Herring Mountain: Herring Mountain is a small Fiefdom near DragonHood. There is nothing very special about it, except that the Baron’s sister, Tara of Herring Mountain, is one of the best archers of the kingdom, and is leader of a group of archers in charge of defending King Dasani and Queen Rhoslyn.
St. Barton’s: St. Barton’s is a city at the shore of the Akasanii Sea that is known for its top-notch armory. This city is also where the legend of the Black Daughter was born.
Fawlon: The baron of Fief Fawlon, Baron Eldon, owns prestigious stables. He and his wife, Anita, have two twin daughters: Orliane and Kalitarin. Orliane is one of the best riders of the kingdom, while Kalitarin is one of Queen Rhoslyn’s ladies-in-waiting.
Other Things:
Akasanii Sea: The Akasanii sea is the only sea in my world. Of course, there are rivers and lakes and…stuff.
Gods, Goddesses & Bad Guys:
There are 7 gods & goddesses and 1 demon in this world:
Gods & Goddesses:
Amari, the All-Powerful: Amari is the goddess of the weather. She is the most powerful divinity. Weather mages are said to have recieved her blessing at birth.
Kuiriu, the Pacifist: Kuiriu is the god of the afterlife. He guards the gates to the Dead Realms. He does not give any blessings.
Timuna, the Intelligent: Timuna is the goddess of intelligence and creativity. Those blessed by her, who are rare, most often become great writers, painters or composers.
Dachiu & Daiura, the Tricksters: Dachiu and Daiura are twins. They are god and goddess of pranks, laughing and games, but also of teamwork. Daiura and Dachiu do not give any blessings.
Misakchi, the Beautiful: Misakchi is the goddess of love and beauty. Princess Yu Jie is said to be blessed by her, because of her beauty.
Elden, the Warrior: Elden is the god of fire, masculinity and war. The soldiers he believes are worthy recieve his blessing of strength and agility.
Demons:
Ikiun: Ikiun is the equivalent of Satan in this world. He used to be Amari's husband, but went corrupt and became a demon.
Okay, I think that’s all I have to say about the realm. And yes, there is stuff about characters from previous RPs, but I don’t plan on doing anything with them.
You can start anywhere you want.))

Yra clung desperately to her brother's waist as the ruby-colored dragon AmberFire soared over the DragonHood stables and training grounds.
"So, enjoying the view?" called her red-haired sibling, looking back at her.
"That's about all I'm enjoying!" she exclaimed bitterly. Yra hated heights. Guo chuckled and ordered Amberfire to land.
"I am never getting on that thing's back again!" Yra told her brother once they were on firm land. Guo chuckled once again and took his helmet off.
“Oh, come on, it’s not that bad…” he told her as she took her own helmet off, revealing fire-colored bangs and a high horsetail.
“Not that bad my eye! You only like dragonriding because you can speak to the dragons.” was the teenaged girl’s reply. Indeed, her brother could communicate mentally with the huge, scaly, fire-breathing creatures.
Guo stared into her yellow-green eyes. “For once I find something I’d like to do for a living, don’t start criticizing.” he told her sternly.

Dydri relaxed against a tree on a beach in Sakuya. Her shoulder-length red hair flapped in the breeze and she stared out at the water with her brilliant green eyes. Her small white dragon familiar, Cir, perched on her shoulder. He was chirping happily.

((Name: Chris Age: 22 Gender: Male Race: Human Height: 6,2 Weight: 320Lb Weapons: A giant broadsword that he has had blessed with magic. Having his family murdered at age 5 in cold blood in front of him has turned him into a hardened warrior. Traits: Loyal but you have to earn it))
Chris smiles as Ice follows him. The dragon glares at other people around him. They look away. They browse through the shops on Orville's Main street. Chris buys a large sandwich and eats it while sitting on a bench. He is with out his usual armor cause of the heat.

(Hmmmm... So hard to choose what kind of character I want. Wait... How does this remind me of the RP I made up?)
Thaine sat on the side of the mountains with the rest of his company. They were eating in front of a campfire. He was a sergent of the defence squad on Herring Mountain. He wasn't in charge of the group, Tara of Herring Mountain was. However, the fact that he was a sergent made him in charge of a few soldiers. He was a human with long black hair, and brown eyes. He was had good aim with a bow and arrow, but could also use a sword when needed. Right now the group was taking a break from patrolling and currently eating.

(Hmmmm... So hard to choose what kind of character I want. Wait... How does this remind me of the RP I made up?) ((Eh, yes, now that I look at it, it looks like I'm trying to copy you. ^^; But I had this realm thought up a while ago, and a plot to go with it...)) "Not my fault if I don't like it." replied Yra, crossing her arms. "Rider Mulinsky, I'm not paying you to give free rides to your sister." called a blonde man from his emerald-green dragon. He was wearing pretty much the same dragonrider gear as the two siblings: metal helmet, leather gloves, shoulder, elbow, and knee pads, a leather bag to keep the deliveries in, and knee-high riding boots. He was Henes of the DragonHood, the Baron's son. He got out of the saddle and slid down his dragon, then walked towards them. "Oh, uh, right, milord." said Guo in a hurry, stifling a bow. Henes laughed. "My father is a Lord, not me." he said, "And don't expect to see him too often; he's always in his papers." Guo blushed deep crimson. "Oh, I'm sorry, I must've mistaken you for Baron Cyrus." he said. "No sweat. So, you're going to become a Rider or not?" asked Henes, taking off his helmet and wiping the sweat off his forehead. "I think so," replied the young man, "But I doubt my sister will do the same." Yra shuddered. "I believe I've noticed." replied Henes with a sigh. "But ah well, your brother will be a great enough addition to the Riders to make up for it." Henes winked, then went on: "Anyway, I wanted to assign you your first delivery, Guo..." he took a small envelope out and handed it to the tall, lanky redhead and told him, "You must deliver this to Lady Tara of Herring Mountain. You know where Herring Mountain is, right?" Guo nodded, putting the envelope in his bag carefully. "I'll leave right now," he told Henes, then looked at his sister, "You'll be able to come home alone?" Yra nodded, then turned around and walked towards a wood fence where her black mare was tied. She untied his reins, hopped on and left, kicking him to a trot. Guo climbed back onto AmberFire's back and took flight.

Dydri wondered what she should do next. It was all fine spending days lying around on tropical beaches, but she was starting to feel restless.

((Eh...This post is really long...I want to tell the stuffs in detail, for the simple reason that I love it, but if you don't feel like reading three pages worth of text, here's a brief summary: A hurricane hits Sakuya when it's not the hurricane season, Yu Jie feels something is wrong, she and her parents are lead to the central room and she hears this freaky voice. Meanwhile, in Anistawn, Guo delivers the message to Tara, who reads it and orders one of the Archers-in-training to go get Thaine and his company.))
Menefer, Sakuya Island
“Yu Jie, my daughter, please come ride with us. A little fresh air will do you good.” pleaded Thu to the young lady sitting in a window seat of one of the many sitting rooms of the palace, staring out the window.
“No, Father, do not make me, I can feel something coming.”
“Yu, please. Your father, you and I all know that it could just be your imagination, or perhaps you are a bit tired.” said Kishi. Yu was born with psychic powers, but they were fairly weak. Most of the time, Yu Jie was wrong about her premonitions, and that was what had lead her father and mother, King Thu and Queen Kishi, to stop believing her.
“Mother! I am serious! I can really feel it this time!” exclaimed Yu Jie, getting up and advancing towards her mother.
“Calm down, for heaven’s sake, Yu!” exclaimed her father. “Do not speak to your mother so.”
Yu Jie sighed, then looked outside. “Look outside, Father.” She mumbled. “Look. The skies are covering up. Something is happening, I swear!”
“Do not swear, Yu.” ordered Kishi quietly, but still looked outside. The sky was turning grey, when it had been nice and sunny barely a minute ago. “Maybe it is just going to rain for a bit. We will stay inside.”
The two adults left, leaving Yu alone in the sitting room. She continued to stare out the window. Outside, lightning flashed and rain started to pour. The merchants and people walking in the streets ran to shelters, trying not to get wet. Yu sighed. Maybe she was wrong…
A servant walked into the room and knelt before the princess. “Milady, the weather mages announce a hurricane. If you will come with me, to the central room, where there are no windows that could shatter and hurt you…”
Yu nodded and got up, following the servant quietly.
The central room was a great big room in the center of the palace. Its walls were made of stone. It was rare that the central room was actually used, as it served as a shelter during hurricanes and tornadoes, or any other time the royal family might be in danger, which was rare.
Yu’s mother and father were already there, along with the most important servants. Maids babbled worriedly, wondering why the great Amari would cast such a storm on them, when everyone in the island prayed to her and gave her offerings frequently.
Yu sighed and sat in a chair beside the door, trying to ignore the sudden headache that had taken her.
“Are you all right, your highness?” asked a servant beside her.
“Yes, yes…I’m…I’m fine.” replied Yu Jie. “It’s a bit…cold. Could you light a fire for me?”
“Certainly, Milady.” Replied the servant, then walked to the fireplace to light a fire.
Suddenly, all the torches in the room went out, leaving everyone in darkness. Yu gasped, and was surprised nobody else did so as well. She heard a deep laugh echo in her mind, then the whisper of a cold, cruel voice. “I will be back…Soon she will fall.”
The princess blinked and looked around, breathing shakily. Maids kept on talking, as if nothing had happened, and the torches were still burning.
“Is something wrong, my dear?” asked Queen Kishi, looking at her worriedly. “You gasped and stopped breathing for a few seconds.”
Yu Jie shook her head. “I’m fine.” she mumbled.
Orville, Cailean
People walked along the streets, some worrying about the weather, for it had turned grey in a matter of seconds.
“Aye, I heard a hurricane was gonn’ hit S’kuya…” a merchant told one of his customers. “’Tis quite far fr’m here, I doubt we’ll get an’thing but rain.”
“A hurricane? In March? But it’s not even the hurricane season!” replied the customer.
“Eh, w’ll maybe Amari’s havin’ a disagreement with th’other gods.” Supposed the merchant.
In Anistawn
About half an hour later, Guo got to Herring Mountain. He landed in a plain, not too far away from the Archers’ barracks and training courts. He ordered AmberFire to stay where he was, then ran to the nearest training court.
No one was there, except for a tall, well-built elven woman who looked to be about thirty years old. Her chestnut-colored hair was tied back in a long, tight braid and her face was dusted with freckles, making her seem much younger than she really was. She wore the Archers’ uniform: a sleeveless grey shirt with a golden shield and a brown arrow embroidered on it, black cotton pants, elbow and knee pads and a quiver filled with arrows slung over her shoulder. The thick orange line embroidered on her shirt, under the shield, showed that she was the leader of the Archers.
She was shooting arrows at a target when she heard him coming. She stopped. “Yes?” she asked, staring at him.
“Milady Tara of Herring Mountain?” asked Guo, just to make sure he was addressing the right person.
The woman nodded. “What is it?” she asked.
“Master Henes of DragonHood sent me to give you this,” he replied, giving her the envelope.
Tara opened it with a nod and read it, raising an eyebrow. “Do you know if this is true?” she asked him, pointing at the letter.
“M-milady, I didn’t read it.” he replied. Tara nodded, then sighed.
“Well, if it’s from Henes, it must be true.” She said, more to herself than anybody, then called to a little girl passing by, probably an Archer in training, “Yuri, could you please go get Thaine and his company and tell them to come here? Tell Thaine it’s urgent.”
The black-haired girl nodded, then asked, “Milady, where would they be?”
“Near the mountains. They’re on patrol.” replied Tara. Yuri bowed to her then left, off to get Thaine.
When the small child finally found them, she stepped up to Thaine and bowed. “Master Thaine, Milady Tara wishes to see you and your company at the practice court beside the Mess Hall. She says it is urgent.”
((Truly sorry for so much text. ^^; I just have a lot to tell...I won't be writing that much on each of my posts, at least I don't think so. And no, I won't be RPing all those characters that much. The ones I'll RP most are I think Yu Jie and Guo...
Oh, and about Amari, she's the goddess of weather. I added a short description of her and the other gods on my first post.))

(I don't mind the long post. It reminds me of actually reading a story, and that's okay.)
"Urgent?" asked Thaine. He stood. "Put out the fire," he ordered. "Leave the food here. We must make haste." The soldiers put out the fire as they were told, and the group began to make way to the Mess Hall. Finally, they reached the practice court.
Thaine bowed low to Tara. "What is it, Lady Tara?" he asked.

"I just recieved a message from King Dasani," replied Tara, "Apparently, Prince Zaccheus and his brother Ambrose were attacked by fairly...unusual creatures this morning. Nobody but the two princes saw them, so we only have their word for it. From their descriptions, the attackers were Llyans."
Llyans were rare creatures that were said to be Ikiun's messengers. They were large, strong beasts that had a body resembling that of a wolf, only it was covered with scales. The head was also wolven, but the paws were like those of a griffin's, and the tail, that of a lion's. They were said to feed on souls, and were so rarely seen some people doubted their existence.
"Luckily," continued Tara, "The two Highnesses managed to survive with only a few scratches and, for Zaccheus, a broken arm. But the attack has made the Royal family afraid; they want extra protection. That's why I'm sending you and your company to act as their bodyguards for a while. There are rations at the warehouse, and you know your mounts are at the stables."

Thaine frowned. "Do we only have to be their bodyguards when they travel?" he asked. He hated having to guard in urban enviornments; he felt so free in the mountains and the wilderness.

Tara sighed. "You have to be their bodyguards whenever they leave the castle. Note that I said castle, and not royal grounds. As soon as they step outside, they're at risk; the two princes were attacked in a royal courtyard." she said.
Guo stood there, silent for a while. Finally, he decided it would be the time to leave. "I...uh...I'll be leaving, if you don't mind..." he mumbled.
"Here," said Tara, handing him a gold coin, "Have a good trip back to DragonHood."
Guo nodded, then bowed to her, then Thaine, and walked back to AmberFire.
Tara watched him leave, then set her deep green eyes back on Thaine. "You and your company should be ready to leave in an hour," she told him, "And be sure to pack some of the sharper arrows; normal ones won't be able to pierce a Llyan's scales."
She took a bag of coins out of her pocket and handed it to him. "Use that money to buy more arrows, or anything else you might need. I'll pay you and your men next time we see each other."

Chris over hears the merchant and decides to go home as fast a possible. Things were getting more abnormal with every year anyways. Chris quickly buys some food and he and Ice walk back to their house in the heart of town near the royal gardens. "Good to be home eh?" Chris asks the dragon behind him as he walks inside.

Kamaria adjusted her satchel and stared around at the bustling stables. She had always been slightly shy, afraid to talk to strangers, a problem which plagued her throughout her life.
"Steady girl," she whispered to herself, looking down at the ruby egg in her hands. It throbbed gently, and she wondered whether it had been damaged during the journey. Holding it up, she examined it closley, turning it slowly to search for cracks.
"We really do need to get you checked, " she crooned to the egg, "I can't look after you myself." As much as Kamaria loved dragons, and everything to do with them, she had little knowledge of hatching one. Flicking her dark hair away from her face, she stared around again, looking for someone who could help her.
