"I hate magical storms," Dydri muttered. "Wonder if the royal people know?" She patted all of the dragons, then dismissed them with a quick whistle. She knocked on the doors again.

((But is he at DragonHood or someplace else...?))
Menefer, Sakuya Island
The guards had all previously gone somplace else seeking a shelter against the hurricane, which was why nobody had answered Dydri before. Now that the storm was over, they were, just like everybody else who survived, coming out of their hiding places. One of the guards heard Dydri knocking on the gate doors. "Yeah yeah..." he grunted, then opened them for her. "...How'd ye survive th'storm with't goin' t' a shelter, lass?" he asked, realizing she'd been locked out during the hurricane.

(( I REALLY Sped-read this because I wanted to post so bad ^-^ I'll go back and make any corrections necessary - just say the word. )) ((Name: Raynaer Taarn Age: 15 Race & Gender: Human & Male Weapons: Two short swords on either side of his hips. Is left-handed - coupled with his swords, he has come out of many a nasty scrap alive many would have come out in fairly less health them he. Looks: Matted dark hair, dark ringlets that seem to be perpetually wetted. Eyes were brown: is always so angry they look black. Wears plain, unassuming clothes. Personality: Somewhat insane. Never trusts, always angry. Wishes he could love and be happy; can't. Abilities: Weather-mage. Strong, but not awe-inspiring: of course, being a rebel, any strength is strong enough.)) Raynaer chuckled. Three times. Three whole times. Better not get too happy, he reminded himself. Of course, being 'blessed' by Ikiun truly was something to laugh about. He, a Weather-mage, controlling that which Amari ruled... and thanks to Ikiun! The irony couldn't be more satisfying. Mopping sweat from his brow, Raynaer scowled. So much warmer than Anistawn. So much warmer than the snows that could chill your bones and eat your flesh. That storm had been quite refreshing. Another chuckle. That was a blessing. Who knew he could do that? Of course, Ikiun was the one to 'thank': if having the Demon in your head could ever be equalled out by whatever promised rewards. He was there, and then he wasn't: a constant prescence, directing him, guiding him, but no words, no physical being inside his brain. Just a urge to do this, or avoid that - nothing to specific. But Raynaer knew what it was. Who it was. Ah! Here it was again. Raynaer sat up under the tree, as if listening for something. And wept. Gathering his belongings - that is, his cloak - he walked, face down, shuffling his feet, towards Menefer. Unseen eyes - Amari show mercy, but why those eyes?! - followed him. Eyes that seemed to glow when the light bounced of the owner's scales. Watching him, making sure he made no false moves, and ready to destroy him if he did. At the crest of the first hill, he could see the spire of the Royal Palace. ((To explain more about Raynaer... he's an ex-weather mage that lived in Anistawn, and after he learned his parents died, fled, infuriated the Weather-mage headmaster... guy... (or whoever teaches the Weather-mages ^-^;; had held the information for long. Found comfort in Ikiun, who 'blessed' him with greater powers than ever before; the 'hidden charge' was Ikiun riding around in his headn and directing his actions. Not much more to say for now...))

(('Kay. And wh00t! Long time no see, IDL! ^_^ )) DragonHood, AnistawnGuo walked out of the stables with a sigh. "Hey! You!" called a female voice. Guo looked around and saw a blonde girl walking to him, holding a package. "Me?" he asked. "Yeah, you! Why else would I be walking to you?" the girl said. Guo sighed. "What is it?" "I need somebody to deliver this." she replied, shaking the package a little. "And...Who would you be...?" asked Guo slowly. "Saidin of Hollyrose. I work here, but I have to go see Lord Cyrus right now..." she replied. "'Kay, I'll deliver it. Where to?" said Guo. "You have to give this to lord Edwyn Fawlon." said Saidin. "You keep the tip, and thank you!" with that she left. Guo sighed and walked back into the stables to get his dragon. *** Henes walked around, for a while, greeting riders coming back from deliveries and chatting briefly with them. He noticed a man holding a package who was looking puzzled and walked over to him. "'Lo sir," he started, "Henes of DragonHood, Lord Cyrus's son, may I help you?"

Thaine and his company stayed in the guest quarters that night. The company talked to each other about this assignment. Many expressed negative feelings, including Thaine. "Protecting princes and princesses is a job for royal guards," some complained. However, it was Thaine who did point out that they were likely betterly trained than the guards and had the proper gear. Grudgingly, the others agreed. Eventually, they all fell into a deep sleep.

((Likewise I have a question - are you going to be RPing Yu Rie? 'Cuz Raynaer is going there...^-^;;; )) "And you are?" "Karn Woren." Now where had that name come from? It, by no means, was Sakuyan, and the guards at the gate to Menefer knew that. "Your business?" Unless he was clearly a rogue, or a thief, or otherwise ruffian, they couldn't stop him from entering. Of course, his looks easily classified him as any one of the three. "Come to see my aunt," he said, holding up a package. "She's come down with some sort of illness, and I have some herbs from home she's always liked to take when she was ill." Please let them take his lack of rough language as proof these clothes were weatherworn, not ragtag as they really were... "Where is home?" So much for that. "Anistawn," he replied. Since it wasn't a lie, he figured the guards should believe him. They did, but it didn't help. "Why not send a dragonrider?" Bah. This would take all day if he did not hurry. "Because dragonriders can't give you company," he said, a tad more irritatedly than he had intended. The guard simply snorted. "Why not send an adult?" "My parents went ahead into the city to... find my aunt. Then... they came back to get me... and...ah..." This was going nowhere. "They went back to our camp and sent me ahead," he finished in a rush. For the love of Amari, why won't they just shut up and let him through?! The guard opened his mouth to speak, and froze as if he had seen a Llyan. His partner followed his gaze and froze, too. Then they screamed. Raynaer dove through the gates and hightailed it through the streets before anyone could question him. The guard, it appeared, really had seen a Llyan.

((Yes, I will be RPing Yu Jie...I just had nothing for her to do, so I didn't make her do anything. Meh.))
Menefer, Sakuya Island
Playing with a strand of her dark hair absent-mindedly, Yu Jie patiently stood near the doorway leading to her room, waiting for the maids to finish brooming away the pieces of glass lying on the floor; the window had shattered during the storm.
Finally, they finished and walked out the room with their brooms and a bag full of broken glass. They stopped to do a curtsy in front of her, then left. Yu Jie stepped into the room and sat on her bed with a sigh. She'd get a new window in about two days. Let's just hope it doesn't rain until then...
DragonHood, Anistawn
"My father, you mean?" said Henes. "Well, you see that building over there?" he nodded to a small building next to the stables, then went on, "That's where the offices are. My father's office is right at the end of the hall when you come in.

The next morning, Thaine and his company awoke. They ate breakfast that was served to them. Many of them were muttering things like "too high-class". They weren't used to eating castle food; they almost grew a liking to food cooked on an open fire.

Who knew Gosan and Rasan could be so helpful?
Idly creating a cloud to fill up his washbasin, Raynaer scowled. Getting into the palace would be nearly impossible compared to this inn room, even with an army of Llyans, and Gosan and Rasan, his left-and-right had swords, respectively, would do nothing but label him an assassin. Which shouldn't happen ever, or at least until after Yu Rie was dead.
Ikiun clearly wanted that; there was not doubt in Raynaer's mind, though why or how he could not say. Every time "The Princess" was mentioned, he felt himself filled with a blood-lust, a desire to kill. Ikiun was quite clear on this one.
Scowling harder, he walked over to the washbasin and peered in. There would be only one way to walk into that palace. As a servant.

((Eh...If I may point out something, it's Yu Jie, not Yu Rie.))
Menefer, Sakuya Island
Yu Jie got up and paced around her room, her light orange skirts making a light swishing sound as she did so.
She was bored. As usual. There was never anything interesting to do in the palace. She never could go out, for Kishi wanted her to stay, 'just in case the right man came to court'.
Pah. Right man, my eye, she's been saying that for the past three years and they're still all courting me without really meaning it. she thought.
DragonHood, Anistawn
"Eh, fine. Follow me." Henes didn't wait for an answer; he started walking towards the offices.

((*kicks self repeatedly* Heh... ^-^;;; Oh, and I'll be going away for a few (aka 3 or 4) days ^-^;;;;; If this is my last post, then Raynaer's simply being a servant and not finding the princess til I get back )) "And you are?" "Ranu Tilun." He had heard the name "Ranu" in the streets, and "Tilun" before he got to the city. This time they had to be Sakuyan. They had to! The Head Maid sniffed. "And what makes you think you can be a servant in the Royal Palace?" Because at the Weather Mage's Fortress on Anistawn they were bowing and scraping left and right and only a blind fool wouldn't know what to do, he thought glumly. What he said was: "I've worked in Cailean before, at a lord's manor, before I moved here." "And you think a lord's manor is anything compared to this?" She was quite obese, really. Which made her all the more forboding. "No, ma'am," he said, trying to be as meek as possible. It was like a rabid dog being meek, but it would have to do. She gave him a good look up-and-down for the one hundredth time. Finally, she sighed. Raynaer resisted the urge to grin. When he looked in the mirror, he looked quite good, actually, provided he kept his eyes downcast. Those alone would scare anyone. "Alright," she muttered. Turning, she grabbed a mop and bucket of water with soap and a dirty cloth. "First, the chamberpots..." Raynaer wished he could take that horribly long list and stuff it down her throat.
