Kairon continued to crawl until he saw an opening into a room below with an experiment chained to a wall.

The library was made of fine material called Plasmite. It was sort of like glue before it dries, very sticky and easy to get on yourself. Plasmite was like brick in this time, extremely popular material to use. Smi landed gracefully, flapping his wings like a bird as he landed. Anshir got off, and hurried into the library. She looked over the books.
"Hmm..." She whispered.
She looked at the different books on the shelves, twitching her tail. She had read almost all of them, so it was hard for her to pick out one she hadn't read, that was not a kiddie book. She lookd at the back of each one, none of them seemed to interest her. She had sometimes sat there for hours on end, just trying to pick out a book.[/glow] |

Storm hesitated, then nodded. "All right. Kyrani, do you still remember how to find your way around in there? It's been a few years."
"Of course," said the fox tartly.

As Kairon entered, Xavier opened his eyes and lifted his head. He didn't look like a scientist, but Xavier felt himself starting to snarl. He fought back the instinct and watched Kairon apprehensively.

Without further ado Mytsis grabbed Storm around the waist and flew to the top of the building, dropping her safely by the open vent.

"The experiments are held this way," Kyrani whispered. Storm nodded and followed her quietly. Although once or twice they did have to duck and hide as a scientist approached, they reached the next wing of the lab without much trouble.
"Let's take a rest," hissed Storm. Kyrani nodded; it had been nerve-racking to come this far. After a few seconds, Storm began to edge around the door, slipping inside.
It took her eyes a while to adjust to the darkness, but she could make out two shapes, one of them very familiar. "Xavier!"

Kaytar turned around. "Quiet!" he wispered. "You wanna bring the entire security force here?"

Mytsis started as she heard Storm call. She took a deep breath, internally struggling. Her human side took over finally and she dove after Storm.

Ignoring Kaytar, Storm dashed across the room to Xavier's side. Instincts again took over, but Xavier overcame them as he recognized storm and did not lash out. He turned to her as best he could, whispering hoarsely, "Storm!" It was the first time he had spoken in three years.
Storm examined the chains. They seemed sturdy. "How are we going to get you out?" she hissed, half to herself.

"Hang on," wispered Kaytar, and he took out his laser pen and cut the chains. "There," he said quietly. "We need to get back to the other experiment captive room. I've got some others waiting for me."
