"Indeed," said Kairon, strolling. "But I get used to climate such as this, sailing across the seas and going to tropical islands..."

Dydri panted slightly in the heat. "This is what I don't like about wearing all black," she grumbled. Cir had curled up in the shade of her pack.

"Just follow me," said Kairon, and he led the group through the city streets until he reached one particular door. Kairon knocked. A man who looked about Kairon's age opened the door. "Jaythel," said Kairon, "I'm pleased to announce that my trip across the sea was a success." He reached into his pocket and held up a sack of gold. Jaythel grinned. "That's very good, Kairon. But who are these other people?" "I met them at the shipyard," said Kairon. He handed Jaythel the sack. "Now what about my reward? A merchant's bussiness shouldn't go unpaid." Kairon gave Jaythel a small wink. Jaythel stood in silence for a while, reading Kairon's eyes. "Ah, yes," he said finally. He opened up the sack and gave Kairon half of the gold. "Let that be your pay." "Thank you," said Kairon.

Chris blinks, he still didn't belive it but couldn't prove that he was a criminal. "Sorry for bothering you." Chris walks back up the street heading for the barracks (sp?)

Kali sighed. "Well, I'll be going now. I won't be bothering you anymore. Thanks for letting me follow you, 'twas nice meeting you." she told Kairon, then turned and started walking down the streets, searching for an inn she could stay at.

On the eastern horizon a storm brewed over the sea. Down by the docks the waves were getting bigger but almost no one noticed. THose who did ignored it and continued working. Chris walks into the barracks. He drops his stuff and goes off to have dinner and a shower.

Kairon and Jaythel smiled, high-fived and Kairon threw his arm over Jaythel's shoulder. "Close one, eh?" said Kairon. "Yep," said Jaythel. "If you weren't with that guy who looked like a guard, I would've never caught on."
Name: Jaythel Gender: Male Occupation: First mate of the pirate ship The White Pearl. The ship was given this name to hide the fact that it was a pirate ship. He sails under the command of his captain, Kairon. Appearance: Black hair, tan skin, and unlike Kairon, no beard. A cutlass is hidden underneath his tunic.
