With the water creeping up on the cty Chris rushes down toward the shore to help people get out.

"Well, Jaythel," said Kairon, now inside the dwelling and having a seat, "how does the plan for moving Darkin and Satar into war go?"
"Not good," said Jaythel. "Hard to find anyone who'll hire out to help attack the watch towers on Darkin's mountains and make it look like a Satar attack. Few people want to see Darkin and Satar to war."
"That's too bad," said Kairon. "I'm havin' similar difficulties. But we should find someone. I mean, not everyone is interested in peace, are they?"
"Seems like they are," Jaythel muttered.

As Chris helps people get out he could only think about wanting to fight. Not helping people escape water... He was a warrior at heart not a humanitarian. Sighing he helps the last few people evacuate. Chris looks at the black skys and hoped that they would fade. But they would not go until they had done some destruction. The winds started carrying out this task as debris from the flooded houses and assoprted junk in the water became airborne by the force of gale force winds.

Dydri lay awake in her inn room listening to the high winds howling outside. Cir stared out the window nervously.We should help the people down there.
"Didn't you say that Chris guy was helping them? They'll be fine."
They might not have been, Cir accused. Dydri groaned and flopped over onto her side.
"Go to sleep."

The water starts advancing further Chris rushs out of the way blocking people from going into the water to get their belongings. People argue with him until he draw he sword and forces them to leave for high gorund.

"Well," said Kairon, "I suppose our bussiness on the mainland should be concluded for now. We don't have much to do. Let's head back to the shipyard and take the Pearl to the Lone Isle, where we'll rendezvous with the rest of the crew."
"Right," Jaythel agreed. "We'll leave tomorrow morning."

Chris keeps ahead of the rising water. Looking worried he shoos the last people away. The high winds batter the city.

A tree branch suddenly smashed through Dydri's window, causing Cir to screech. Dydri stayed perfectly still for a moment, then sat up, carefully controlled. Cir glared at her.
"FINE. Have the dragons go see what needs to be done." As an afterthought, she added, "and have one of them follow that pirate guy."
You abuse your faithful minions, Cir complained. He flew off anyway. Dydri flopped back down onto the bed.

"This sucks..." Chris mutters under his breath as sheets of rain start coming down. Soaking wet he trudges furthur from the water.

Kairon and Jaythel left the city on horseback. With the brisk trot of the horses, the managed to reach the shipyard in only a few hours. However, the soon found the flood. "Our ship'll be ruined!" Kairon cried.

Chris confidant that no one would coem back down this way goes off to make sure no one was tryign to take any other roads into the flooded area.

Cir flew back into the room as Dydri fell asleep.
Outside, after finding nothing more to be done at the water, one of the dragons slipped after Kairon.

As the two pirates quickly hurried to see what had happened to their ship, Kairon felt a few hairs stand on the back of his neck, and he had a distinctive feeling he was being followed.

Chris sees the Kairon but thinks he is just another person. "Hey get away from the water!"
