Chris just yells as he chases Garin looking more stupid than mad. He reaches the edge of the forest and keeps running.

Garin ran as if his life depended on this chase; that if he fell, he would be killed. Once deep into the woods, however, he stopped. "Good plan," he told Chris.

Once Garin and Chris were out of sight, Dydri explained the plan to the Doomkillers through Cir, who was dizzy but recovering. She slipped into the woods. "Get back to your armies! I'll leave a trail you can follow, but I can't go with you."
