"Okay, how 'bout this," said Kairon. "If you can, Fautus, you should turn into a bird or or something and make a quick flight over the top of the mountain just to see how hard it'll be to get near the area where Vadek is."

Faustus nodded and took a deep breath. She closed her eyes and thought and transformed instantly into a hummingbird. She looked down at herself ruefully. "I guess this could work," she squeaked. "Not likely that I'll be seen, anyway."

"Great," said Kairon. "Fly up to the top of the mountain. Vadek isn't in any structure. Just make a quick flight, alright?"
Meanwhile, at the top of the mountain, Vadek was draining energy from a large dark orb. He was surrounded by many goblins. Floating above the ground in magical bonds was Thaine. "Not so tough now, Elf?" said Vadek with satisfaction. "Those fools don't stand a chance. Looks like they're planning for that shapeshifter to spy on us. Did they honestly think that I wouldn't know who she really was?" Vadek lauged evilly.
(Note: Just act as your characters and pretend you didn't read that.)

Seeing Fautus approaching, he created a fireball and threw it at her.

Faustus screamed as the fireball sped straight towards her. Panicking, she turned into a badger and fell down towards the mountain slopes, the fireball grazing her back painfully. She landed in a tree and lay there, stunned.

Kairon was shocked when he saw Fautus turn into a badger and fall into a tree. Quickly, he rushed over to the tree and picked up Fautus. "Fautus!" he said. "Are you alright?"
