"Yeah, it was ontop of the mountain," said Kairon.
He knelt down to Yiran. "Didn't you say something about barely being able to wield a sword, kid?" he asked.

Kairon pulled out a dagger. He looked at it sadly. "Years ago," he began, "before I even became a thief, me and some of my company were travelling through the woods. We all had swords to protect ourselves; it was during the goblin war, and we needed something to protect ourselves. Suddenly, our fear was realized. Goblins ambushed us. They cut down some of our company. We fought back, until there were only two left; me, and the goblin chieftan. I fought the goblin, but he broke my sword. He cut me across the cheek..." Kairon ran his fingers over a white scar on his cheek. "You can still see the scar," he said. "I fell onto the ground. The goblin was just about to finish me off... Then I saw a dagger on the ground. I picked it up and stabbed the goblin. That's how I made it alive." Kairon handed the dagger over to Yiran. "This is the dagger I used then. I called it my 'good luck' dagger. It's brought me alot of luck. But you need it more than I do. Take it." Kairon, almost reluctantly, handed her the dagger.

Yiran kept looking back between Kairon and the dagger. Finally she stopped looking back and forth and stared straight at Kairon. "I...I don't really know what to say...I guess 'thanks' would be good...Thanks..." she mumbled. She stood there for a few seconds, then she tucked the dagger into one of the many pockets of her baggy brown breeches.

"Can you become something powerful like dragon or even an elephant would be good. Or you could help us get there very fast by becoming a bird or a cheeta. I don't really have any plans. If he is in some kind of building I could burn it down. I think just surprising him and making total chacos would be good."

"Er...well...I don't really know much about Vadek except he's evil and he takes his power from an orb-thing...So I don't really have a plan or--wait a second...I think I might have an idea." she started. "If we made him attack one of us with a really powerful attack, and then that person would dodge it, he would've wasted a good deal of his power, right? Well...He would be kinda weak after that, so I guess we could just finish him off..."

"That plan will work after the orb is destroyed," said Kairon. "When the orb is still surviving, I predict he'll have unlimited power. But how do we know we can dodge a really powerful attack? I mean, I'm pretty fast, but we don't know how huge attacks he can create."
