This has a plot, but it's hidden at first. I wanted to do this idea on the Neoboards, but I couldn't finish it. Lucky NTWF topics stay for days! Rules 1. No more than 2 characters, though I'd prefer only 1. 2. Post your character on here and I'll say whether or not you can post as the character. This is mostly to avoid mary-sues, but there are other reasons as well... 3. If you're a magic-user, don't go overboard and make your character way too powerful. I want this to be a band of unlikely heroes... 4. Godmoding and powerplaying forbidden. 5. Flirting with other characters is allowed, but I'd prefer you not to go overboard with the romance cause I honestly don't like it that much. 6. Have fun! Setting is the woods. Time is midday. Will post after a few people join.

Lini was a girl that usually traveled on her own. She would join groups for a little while then leave. She enjoyed being by herself or with her small ginger cat. She looked like a gypsy. She wore gypsy clothes and the big braclets and erringngs that a gypsy would wear. Her auburn hair was in a long ponytail down her back. Her cat was never far behind behind her. She thought that she was magicless, and she carried a long curved swoard and a dagger at her side.
((Lini actually is an fire elemental. For those of you who don't know what that means it means she can control fire; make it pop up or bring a forestfire down. Lini doesn't know this.))
Lini was wandering through the forest, looking for some exitment. It was midday and she was beggening to get hungry. She sat down to make a fire. This was easy for her becuase she had done it so many times. Once she had a fire going the cat ran into the woods. When it came back it carried five mice. It then left and brought back another five mice. "Company Chichi?" Asked Lini. Lini had noticed that the cat often knew more then she did. 10 mice was alot for the two of them.

In the deepest, darkest part of the woods, a figure stood under the shadow of the trees. It had a hood, and wore a forest green cloak. The hood made it impossible to see the figure's eyes. The figure stood there, as if waiting for something to happen, or someone to come.

((Mind if I join?))
The soft breeze blew through an old oak tree’s leaves. Its thick trunk made it easy to climb onto its branches. Yiran had noticed that fairly quickly and was now sleeping on one of its thick branches, though not for much longer…
*THUD*
Yiran muttered curses under her breath, rubbing her head and getting back up. The young elven girl was about 12, her wavy, caramel-coloured hair tied back in a high pony tail. With her deep green eyes, she glared at the oak tree, as if it was its fault she had fallen off. She sighed and walked up to it, about to climb up to get her sword, which she had left up in the tree, hanging from the branch she had fallen asleep on. That done, she hopped back down and strapped the sword onto her back. She barely knew how to use it-or any other weapon-, but if anything or anyone attacked her, at least she’d have something to defend herself with. Her hands were half hidden by the slightly too long sleeves of her forest-green shirt. She readjusted the orange shawl around her neck and sat down, bored. She stared at her loose brown pants and brown leather sandals.
“These are much too long…” she muttered, talking about her pants and shirt. “As soon as I get to the next city, I’ll ask a tailor to fix it.” She sighed and started walking, humming softly to herself.
((Note: Yiran doesn't have any powers or anything.))

The figure scanned the area. "They are here..." wispered a male voice from the figure. He slowly, quietly, began to move towards the general location of the others in the woods.

Chichi became very tense. Lini, seeing this, stood up and looked around. She put her hand on her swoard, but still made sure the mice didn't burn. Chichi didn't seem to know which way the trouble was coming from. Lini hoped that this wasn't a false alarm, but there were 10 mice.

"Lini," called the voice from the figure. He walked into the area where Lini was. "I've been waiting for you," he said mysteriously.

Yiran walked along the forest path, humming cheerfully to herself.
((Sorry for the one-liner, but I don't really have anything to say...))

Lini put her hand out while still keeping one hand on her sword. "Stop, stranger. Are you friend or foe?" She was scared stiff of this strange man, he knew her name and had been watching her. That is scary but she wan't going to show that she was scaird. If he came any closer with out stating his means she could have the sword out in a flash. OK so Lini wasn't that good at swoard fighting but he didn't have to know that.

"You have untapped powers greater than your swordfighting," the figure said, as if reading her mind. "And I am more of a friend than what you shall soon meet."

Ok this guy was making a whole load of junk up. He happened to know her name. That wasn't so scary, and then the powers thing, he made that up. But he wanted to be her freind so she went along. "Are you planning on going somewhere with me? Could I possibly have your name as you know mine."

"I have no name anymore," said the figure. "I used to be called Thaine. You may call me that now, if you wish."

"I-- My mice!!" Lini ran to the fire and grabbed the mice, and blew on them to put the fire out. "Want some mice?" Lini said as she started to skin the mice. Chichi walked up and took two of the mice off the stick. Lini petted her. "You were right." She whispered. The cat purred and went to eat the mice.

"I don't eat," said Thaine. "Others are in these woods. Not all of them may find us, but I'm hoping enough will."
