Sesatine, almost instinctively, stepped in front of Faustus and drew out her hands to the fire tornado and gathered all of her energy. She felt the blood rush to her fingers and her heart pound with her magical recollection. The tips of her fingers grew frosty and rather numb until her eyes blazed a icy blue.
Suddenly, she threw her hands closer to the fire tornado and bursts of ice emerged from her palms, gushing out in powerful blasts into the tornado. In a mere few seconds the tornado froze into solid ice and shattered into jagged shards on the cobblestone ground. "Take that!" She called, beaming.
Kara sighed and shook her head with disappointment, but stood abruptly, pulling an arrow from over her shoulder and placing it in the middle section of her longbow. She pointed it toward Thazark menacingly and felt it blaze with a dark energy. With a rough, shouting battle cry, Kara jerked the string of the longbow back and released the arrow, sending it toward the mage. She then rapidly shot some others.

"Thanks!" Faustus called to Sesatine as she swooped towards the mages.

Kathar put up a hand and used a magical spell to creat a barrier between the two mages and Kara's arrows. Once the arrows hit the barrier, they fell to the ground. The barrier would also block Faustus.
Kairon looked on in despair as the mages created the barrier. With that trick, how could the group defeat them? Standing in a defensive pose and ready to fight them off if he needed to, he began formulating strategies in his mind to defeat the mages.

{Can the barrier also prevent things from coming out as well as things coming in?}
Sesatine hopped up in down with excitement like a little child. "Thanks! Wasn't that cute?!That was so cute!"

(I'd mostly say yes, it's basically a big wall, only made by magic and it really hurts on impact.)

Something big, black, and furry flew onto Kathar's back. It couldn't be seen clearly in the darkness now that the light of the fire tornado had been dispelled. It knocked the mage to the ground with the impact. Jaszun was back, and still in her panther form, but with full control of herself.

Faustus screeched to a halt in front of the barrier. "Now what?"

"A minor setback," said Tharzak lightly as he cast another firebal spell at Jaszun, careful not to hit Kathar.

Well, the fireball hit Jaszun and her fur caught fire. But then she began to roll in an attempt to put it ouT. And she was rolling on the still fallen Kathar, and .. well.. fire spreads. Sure, she edventually rolled onto the stone floor and got her own fire out, but Kather's robes were still lit, and the flame was spreading. Jaszun of course didn't get away without some unpleasent burns. And with the barrier serperating her from the others, she had no help comming.

Lini immediatly saw the danger. She put all the fire out exept for the fire on the wizards robes.

"Allow me to get that," said Tharzak, and he waved a hand. The fire on Kathar's robes dissapeard. Soon, Kathar got up and stood next to Tharzak. Combining their strength, Kathar and Tharzak both cast lightning and aimed it at Jaszun. Kathar stood with the hand he wasn't currently using facing the barrier so that it would stay standing.

{If the barrier prevents things inside from coming out, then Tharzak and Kathar could backfire their magic to them, right?}

(I guess so, but they'll probably let the barrier dissapear soon so that they can continue to fight our characters.)

((Great, now I'm in a mess... let the lightning hit and, well, let's face it, you get hit by lightning and your down and out for a while. But you can't exactly dodge lightning despite what final fantasy ten tells you and I dont want to god mode so.. yea... unless.. well, it partial half makes sense but not really. Oh well, it at least means she gets to stay in the game.))
Jaszun's claws were dug into the sapces between to rock bricked floor and clung into the ground beneath ready to launch her at the wizards. Before she had a chance to leap though, the lightning struck her. She felt a strange feeling tingle through her fur wich was singed where the lightning had hit. She felt the electricity move through her and channel directly into the ground. She felt a pain where the electric bolt had connected and a lot more awake, but other than that was unchanged, the fact that she now sparked with light from the static of her fur aside. As she was still good to go, she went through with the planned leap. Neither wizard had suspected she would of bounced back from the shock so quikly (no pun intended for bounce). Once again she was on the back of one of the wizards who still stood. It was Tharzak this time. Her fur continued to twinkle as she did so. Some of the static energy lept from her fur to the wizard she was trying to maul. It was quite the light show.
((yay for taking scientific fact and twisting it out of reality to suit your needs!))
